Rosé Yang groaned at the soreness of her body. Painfully and slowly, she moved into a sitting position. She stared at her surroundings in confusion. It was a fancy and lavish hospital room that was twice the size of a regular one.

She glanced at the IV drip that was connected to her and the different machines beside her.

’What am I doing here?’ She asked herself, completely unsure how long she had been unconscious.

The room was virtually empty and there was no one else in it. The curtains were pulled back to reveal the bright morning outside.

Rosé Yang sighed. She looked around the room for her purse and grinned when she saw it sitting on the nightstand next to her. She strained her arm to grab the purse, but to no avail. Slumped at her failure, Rosé Yang huffed like a child.

"Fool, you should’ve pressed the help button." Park Jimin mused from the door. He had watched her strain to grab the purse that was too far for her short arms.

Rosé Yang stared at him with her mouth agape. What was the Demon King doing here? And how did he have access to her room?

"Take a picture, it’ll last longer." Park Jimin chuckled at her foolish expression. He stepped into the room with a bag of food in hand.

"W-What are you doing here?" Rosé Yang asked, crossing her arms. Her eyes never left his approaching figure.

"Why wouldn’t I come here?" He mused.

Rosé Yang tilted her head. "I don’t think we were acquaintances or friends." She honestly said.

Park Jimin paused in his steps. He stared at her, not believing the genuine statement that came out of her mouth. Were they acquaintances? Were they even friends?

"We’re not." Park Jimin said, opening the takeout boxes and placing it onto a portable table.

Rosé Yang was surprised when he placed the tiny table onto her lap so that she could eat in bed. She stared at the arrangement of healthy food laid out before her.

When Park Jimin handed her a wet wipe and utensils, she stared at him like he grew three heads. Why was he so nice to her? She thought he wanted her dead after what she did to him.

"According to the tabloids, we’re a dashing couple that fled at midnight." Park Jimin mused when he saw the array of magazines on the tables. He figured one of the nurses probably left it there as free entertainment.

Rosé Yang's head snapped up. What did he just say? A couple?!

She grabbed a magazine and her jaw dropped to the ground. Plastered on multiple big magazines and newspaper outlets were pictures of Rosé Yang being carried by Park Jimin, with him holding her protectively against his chest. The heavy fur coat hid half of her face, but everyone who knew her could tell it was Rosé Yang.

The headlines were atrocious.

"Is this Business Tycoon, Park Jimin's girlfriend?"

"Breaking news: Park Jimin spotted carrying his girlfriend out of Yang Yuna's banquet!"

"The man that’s rarely spotted with girls, Park Jimin, seen getting intimate with his lover!"

"How many days until the wedding?"

Rosé Yang gulped at the last line. She browsed through the first few pages of the magazines and blew out a sigh of relief. None of them mentioned her name, but she knew her parents and grandparents would freak out when she saw these tabloids.

Just when Rosé Yang was about to read more, the magazines were gently taken out of her hands.

"Hey, I was reading!" She yelled, glaring at him for taking it away.

Park Jimin chuckled at her expression. She pouted like a child whose toy was taken from them.

"You’ve been asleep for three days, you need to eat." He nodded to the vegetable porridge, carrot and spinach stir fry, and grilled chicken.

"I’ve been asleep for three days?!" She gasped, not believing his words. Oh no, she didn’t call her grandfather!

She reached for her purse again but was blocked by the table.

"Park Jimin, can you get me my phone-"

"No." He frowned. Why wasn’t she eating?

"But-"

"No. You have to eat first." He chided like a parent.

"It’s important!" Rosé Yang's hand clenched into a fist. If it wasn’t for her fear of touching needles, she would’ve long removed her IV drip.

Park Jimin sighed and stood up. He grabbed her purse and pulled out her phone. Rosé Yang put her hand out but instead of a phone being placed onto her hand, it was chopsticks and a spoon.

"Wha-"

"Eat first." Park Jimin said, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Rosé Yang sighed at the stubborn man standing in front of her.

Park Jimin glowered at her, waiting for her to object his words.

She didn’t.

Using her spoon and chopsticks, she began to eat like an obedient little girl.

Seeing her inhale the food like it was air, Park Jimin blew out a sigh of relief. She was finally eating and putting some much-needed nutrition into her body.

He took off his jacket and placed it on the back of his chair. He sat down and crossed one leg over the other, then leaned back on the chair. He sat like the Demon King he was, with the bright chandelier lights basking down on him.
