After their cab reached Yeji's house, they immediately went inside after they paid the driver.
"You're back early" Yeji's mother said. "Oh, hi Ryujin"
"Hi Mrs. Hwang-" Ryujin was greeting back when Yeji interrupted.
"Where's grandpa?" She asked her mother.
"He's in his room, why?" Her mother questioned.
"Just wanna ask him something" Yeji said and pulled Ryujin with her to her grandfather's room.
She slammed the door open, revealing her grandfather reading a book on his bed.
"Do u need anything?" He asked.
"About Ryujin" Yeji started.
"Yooo" Ryujin stepped out from behind the door frame.
Yeji rolled her eyes at her antics. "U said she has a brother?"
"Oh, yes" her grandfather replied.
"I don't remember having one" Ryujin said.
"That is because u were too young, Ryujin" Yeji's grandfather said.
"Wait, where's grandma?" Yeji suddenly asked.
"She's in the bathroom, why?" Her grandfather asked.
"Well..."
Yeji then told him everything Ryujin had told her earlier.
"Oh my, do u have a picture?" He asked.
"I have one at home" Ryujin replied.
"Do u think u could bring it tomorrow?" He requested.
"Sure" Ryujin agreed.
"What's going on here?" They heard a feminine voice ask.
"Hi" Ryujin said, eliciting a snicker from Yeji.
"Grandma, this is Ryujin" Yeji introduced.
"Shin Ryujin" the girl smiled.
Yeji's grandfather noticed her face turned pale when she heard the name, confirming his suspicion.
Just then, Ryujin's phone rang, showing her colleague, Hyunjin's name on the screen.
"I'll go take this" Ryujin informed and left the room.
After the girl left, Yeji's grandfather spoke up.
"I think u have something to tell us" he said to his wife.
"I.. I didn't know I'd actually see her" she said. "Her father only sent me a picture of her and her brother once before he..."
"U never told me u were married before u met me" Yeji's grandfather said.
"I never thought it was important" her grandmother replied.
"It is very much important" her husband said. "U left a very healthy family!"
"What's going on here?" Yeji's father asked.
"Dae Jung. Were u aware that your mother had a family before us?" Yeji's grandfather asked.
"Well..." Her father sighed. "I saw her looking at a picture of two children before, but I never thought much about it"
"U saw, and yet u never told me!" Her grandfather exclaimed. "And now look what happened to that family!"
He pointed at Ryujin.
"Uhhh sup?" She said.
"Dad, you're scaring the children" Yeji's father told him.
"How is this- aw shit nevermind" Ryujin whispered, but seeing Yeji tearing up from the yelling, she hugged the older girl.
"Both of u go to Yeji's room, we'll settle this-" Yeji's mother was saying when they heard a slap.
Yeji immediately ran to her grandmother.
"IF U HAD TOLD ME U WERE MARRIED, I WOULDN'T HAVE PURSUED U" Yeji's grandfather yelled.
"Stop this, please" Yeji pleaded.
"Yeji, go to ur room honey" Yeji's grandmother whispered.
Yeji's grandfather was about to slap her grandmother again when Ryujin got in the way, making him slap her instead.
"Ouch. But honestly, was there the need to slap people?" She asked.
"Ryuddaeng" Yeji whispered and hugged the girl.
"Dad, stop it" Yeji's father begged. "We'll settle this properly tomorrow"
With that, everyone left the room, leaving him alone.
Yeji's mother let Ryujin stay the night.
They both went to Yeji's room, "I'm sorry, Ryuddaeng. Does it hurt?"
"I've been through worse" Ryujin shrugged. "U should go take a bath first, I'll go after you're done"
"Alright" Yeji said and picked out some clothes.

"Does that mean we can't be together?" Yeji asked Ryujin.
They were now cuddled in Yeji's bed.
"I don't know" Ryujin said. "But it wouldn't make sense"
"Why?" Yeji asked.
"Well, your dad is older than mine by a few years if I remember correctly" Ryujin started. "And she left my grandpa after giving birth to my dad"
"How do u know my dad's older?" Yeji asked, confused.
"Lia made a joke saying how he's so old he can't even remember his own phone number" Ryujin chuckled.
"He really can't tho" Yeji laughed.
"It depends on them how they're going to settle it, we just have to hope for the best, I guess" Ryujin said.
"Hm you're right" Yeji agreed. "Let's go to sleep, we still have to go to school tomorrow"
"Hm goodnight Yeddeong"
"Goodnight Ryuddaeng"
