3: Love at first sight

I couldnt believe who I saw right then. The most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on, and I've had tons come up to me. She was the one girl I wanted. She was like a little bunny.

When I first saw her at the cafe, I almost made myself look stupid with my shocked face. I found it a little cute how she stuttered, even if it was because of who we were.

I waited till she got into her house and stayed outside. If someone in that house caused those bruises on her, I will not hesitate to kill them.

Through the window, two guys ran to her and started babying her so they didnt do it. They must be family then. But a side of me wanted them off her, becoming the one thing I havent been ever since I was born, jealous.

I jogged to catch up with the girls. Luckily they didnt notice I had fallen behind. Now that I knew where Berry lives, I can visit from time to time. Just gotta keep a low profile.

We get home and everyone is tired and goes to their rooms to sleep, but I cant. Berry wouldnt get out of my head, keeping me up. Until a sweet dream took over and I fell asleep.

"RI, GET UP!"

My eyes flashed open only to shut again by the light from the window. I turn to see Miku standing by the bed with her hands on her hips.

"Good morning to you too, sis"

"It's your turn to cook breakfast and I'm starving"

We may be twins, but we can be ever so different. I got up and got dressed then went downstairs to start cooking. I met Mama sitting at the table reading a book she found.

"Morning Mama"

"Morning my darling, how was your evening yesterday?"

I suddenly remember everything from that day. Remembering our short fight with Robert and his gang. Remembering Berry.

"It was fun. We gone to the club and got some smoothies from a nearby cafe. Had you gotten yours from the fridge?" Remembering I ordered an extra one for Mama and left it in the fridge to stay cool.

"Yes I did and it was very yummy. Thank you both" She smiled as she lowered her head to continue reading.

I finished cooking and set all the girls plates for when the others woke up. I didnt leave one for me, since I wanted to leave early.

"Where ya heading off to? We dont have any meetings today" Miku says as she walks in towards the table. I couldnt tell either of them the truth or I wouldnt hear the end of it.

"Just going to get a morning walk. It's pretty nice out"

Before either of them can say anything, I walked out the door and made my way down the street. I wore average cloths and put my hair in a ponytail to not bring attention to myself.

Just as I had turned the corner to Berry's street, I saw her waving her hand to someone inside, most probably the men who were in there last time. She looked so cute in her uniform I had to hold myself from jumping at her. I recognize the uniform and it was a senior Phoenix Drop uniform so not only was she in her last years of school, she was 18 or 19, me being 21. A reasonable age difference, no?

She walks my way and I hid back a bit so she didnt see me. I thought to myself how much of a stalker I was acting right now but didnt really care as I continued to watch her head to school.

Couple feet later, we reach the high school where tons of kids were heading inside. I wasnt paying any attention to them as I only had my eyes on my bunny, who seemed to rather keep her head low as she walked in.

All the other students left inside and I stood at the front, already missing her.
If only there was a way to be closer to her.

That's when I notice on the window and sub teacher for hire poster. Then a rather silly idea came to me.

BERRY

I managed to avoid any of my bullies through the door and quickly made my way to my first class. Luckily, non of them went there so I was safe for the hour.

Everyone got seating and Mr. Jackson made his way to his desk. Looking a little more casual than usual, leaving me a bit confused.

"Everyone, I have an announcement" Mr. J says as the students start quieting down. "As some of you know, my wife is near labor and I feel its safer to be with her during these last few months so I wont be here for the remainder of the semester"

Kids started quietly chatting about the baby and what would happen when Mr. J leaves. "Luckly, you wont be alone. I was able to find a replacement teacher who is surprisingly fluent with foreign language and will be teaching the classes from now till graduation."

He motions his hand at the door and a figure walks in wearing the teacher uniform, but looks awfully familiar.

"Please welcome, Mr. Irene"

The sub lifts his head, facing the class as some girls started squealing to eachother, as I sat there in total shock as my eyes met his bright green ones.

The same ones Riku had.
