Harry came over and tapped me on the shoulder. Everyone else had gone, except Hermione and Ron. There was someone at the door. It was Minister Rufus Scrimgeour. I was shocked. Why would the Minister come here of all places? "Ah I need to see you four." he said as pointed at all of us. I nodded slightly and we all took a seat. He pulled out a scroll. He then started reading.
"This is Albus Dumbledore's will. He has left each of you a gift." he said and we all sat the edge of our seats. He started "To Hermione Granger…. a book of fairy tales. To help you in case you need it, and you can read it to figure out a puzzle."
It was a Grimms fairy tale book. Scrimgeour continued. "To Ron Weasley a deluminator, one that I made, to show you the light." It was almost like a lighter, but it took light instead. Ron tested it, and the lamp in the kitchen suddenly came to the deluminator, going into it. We all looked in awe.
"To Harry James Potter the sword of Godric Gryfindor." Scrimegeour didn't pull anything. We waited. Didn't he have it? "Umm excuse me sir, but where is the sword?" I asked. Scimgeour sat back and answered.
"You see, we believe that Mr. Potter can't OWN the sword of Gryfindor." "Why not?" Hermione questioned, frustration in her voice. Scrimgeour looked at her with a poker face. "Dumbledore did not own the sword of Gryfindor therefore, he doesn't have the right to give it to Mr. Potter. Not only that, the sword is nowhere to be found."
Great, just great, I thought. The sword would have been useful, after all, it killed the Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets. It might actually be able to do a lot if Harry was going to chase after horcruxes.
"But he did give you the first snitch you caught at your first game." Scrimgeour said as he pulled out the golden snitch and handed it to Harry. Harry held it. I remember that game, the one he caught with his mouth, and the first victory of the many in Quidditch.
I snapped out of my daydream when Scrimgeour mentioned my name. "To Ms. Elizabeth Mary Jenkins, my phoenix Fawkes, who will be well taken care of with you." He was giving me FAWKES? But where was he?
I waited to see what Srimgeour had to say about this one. "Although Ms. Jenkins Dumbledore did own Fawkes, the phoenix has not been found anywhere. Unless you know it's whereabouts, then I can't give it to you. However, I can give you something else Dumbledore wrote in his will." What else would he have given me?
Scrimgeour pulled out a small box, possibly home to something small. But what? It was navy blue and fit in my hand. I opened the lid to reveal something I would have never expected. It was a locket, once my mothers when I looked inside the lid to see the ownership of it.
What did it mean really? It was my mothers, but what could come out of it? I realized it was like she was with me in spirit, wherever I went. I sighed. I felt like bursting into tears, but I couldn't do it now in front of the others. I put the necklace on and stroked the locket, like it was in need of it.
The reception for the wedding came too soon. In a single kiss, Bill and Fleur were together forever. Everyone was dancing, in honour of the bride and groom, and happiness was in the air. Hermione and I attempted to dance along, without much luck.
We stayed mostly by the platters of food, as they seemed much better than dancing. We saw Luna and her father as well, and we had a wonderful conversation. It ended however when bright light came crashing through the tent.
It was a patronus. And it was Kingsleys, as it was a lynx. It had a message. His voice boomed over the silence. "They have overtaken the Ministry. They are coming here now. Leave. Now." The light disappeared into nothing.
