Hey y'all. Attack on Titan is finally over which means soon this book will be too. I hope you enjoy! M'wah.

Your POV

"But I don't wanna sleep!" Kahira whined.
"No sleep!" Kuchel joined in.

Killian groaned at his annoying sisters and turned to on his side to face away from them. He was the one who actually wanted to sleep. He definitely got his father's attitude.

I was sat at the edge of the bed they were all sharing on the boat sailing towards Odiha. I smiled lightly at them. I'm only going to see them get this big. I stroked their hair away from their face. I inhaled in an attempt to stop my tears.

I didn't know how I felt about dying. I just didn't want to leave anyone yet especially not them. My babies... I kissed all of their foreheads. My tears won't do anything. It's why I haven't cried in so long. It's why I'm so calm now.

I stood up and walked away from their bedside.

"Sleep. Now." Levi ordered, not playing into their childish antics. He had been standing here watching me put the kids to bed. The girls immediately quiet down. He walked to the door with me. He turned off the lights. "Good night." He said to them.

"Good night, Daddy." They repeated. "Good night, Mommy." We shut the door behind us.

I looked to Levi— the last person I'd ever be ready to leave. I looked at his gray eyes. "You should rest too." I told him. "You're still healing."

"I'm not one of the ki-"

I kissed him lightly to shut him up. "Just until we reach Odiha."

He clicked his tongue at me in annoyance, but listened, and left for our room. I watched him walk away.

I promised to protect him. I still had every intention of doing that.

Levi stopped walking. "Come to bed with me," he demanded. He stayed still and didn't turn to face me. I answered him by walking by his side. I let him lean on me as we walked to bed. In our room, I helped Levi down to our bed. I knelt in front of him to take off his shoes for him. I undid the laces on his first shoe. I looked up at him. He looked down at me.

"Thanks, brat," Levi said.
"No problem," I replied.

"It's been so long since we've talked. Actually it feels like the last two years you've been drifting away from me. Did you know you were going to give your life up for me? Were you trying to get me conditioned to living without you?"

I pushed his shoe off his heel. "I knew that something bad was going to happen to you and I had to save you." I answered honestly. "I didn't know what I was going to have to do." I placed his shoe down by my side.

I started undoing his laces on his other shoe as he spoke. "So, you what? You played pretend with me?" Levi questioned me. His tone shifted. Hurt plagued his voice. I pulled his shoes off his heel. "What about the plans we made? You made it seem like we were going to be forever. You made me believe in the future, my future, our future–"

"Levi, please!" I took his shoe off. "Let's not let the first time we talk be an argument." I placed his shoe.

"You don't get to decide that," Levi stated, "These are going to be one of our last arguments. I don't only want the good when it comes you. I love holding you and kissing you and the family we built together, but I want to fight and argue and get annoyed. I want you all of you and in a year I won't have that anymore. That's not how I want to live. You never even asked me, never included me. Everything has been so secretive with you. It's like you haven't even been here."
