A small pond

The world is huge and has over 7 billion people on it. There are apparently more men than women says google even though I recall an old statement there was more women than men at one point where they said for every man there are 2 women or maybe I heard this cause I jumped into another universe. But now there are more men blah blah blah moving on... so I remember being in high school and while all my acquaintances and some friends got boyfriends I said I was just there to study and get the f*ck out. I did have crushes don't get me wrong but I always used to think high school was such a small pond, it's so fricking tiny and you want to choose your sweetheart there? I was like no this is not the place. Meeting people from other schools? That felt more broad but still other schools hell even just in my country it's a god damn small pond. I heard stories of soulmates and the red string theory. Tales of how one's lover, companion, basically one's everything can be as far as an ocean away. And this got me thinking. Why only meet people and date in my country? We have a whole damn world. I'm not saying don't date in your country but what I am saying is the world is huge and sometimes going over an ocean to find someone who we might not have known we needed is better than someone we just take for convenience because of location and the fact that we only had the opportunity to meet them.

Okay done...
