My outfit was simple, but I was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a plain white crew neck. My hair was pulled into a half up half down, and I even found a white ribbon to tie in there.

I figured the ribbon sort of added something. I didn't have much to choose from so it's all I could really come up with.

Even though I asked Ace if he wanted to go to my birthday dinner last minute he still, thankfully, agreed.

Well, I'm not sure if it was a good thing he agreed, considering Caden and Ace didn't get along.

Maybe this wasn't a good idea after all

I ignore my thoughts as I run a brush through my hair, looking over my face in the mirror once more. I apply chapstick to my lips, the same one I had on before Caden first kissed me...

I freeze my hand holding the cherry scented chapstick before quickly throwing it to the other side of my room. What was it with these weird thoughts and feelings lately?

I look in the mirror, moving my hands to rest on my face and cool down my now red cheeks.

Maybe it was the way he touched me, or the way his deep voice sounded, or the way he knew exactly what would make me feel good

Whatever it was, it made me feel hot. Everywhere.

I force myself out of my chair when my thoughts start going too far. For some reason he's been on my mind non stop, and every time I'd try to think of something else he would pop back in my head.

I bite my lip in thought as I finish putting on my shoes and open the door of my bedroom.

It was all funny really. I told myself I would never associate with Caden, and now I'm wondering if I really do have feelings for him.

Wondering why I crave his presence so much

It was nothing serious. It couldn't be.

I was five minutes early, so I wasn't expecting either of them to be here yet as I walked towards the main hall.

At least that's what I thought during my entire walk

I watch in shock as I enter the main hall to see Caden and Ace standing at least six feet apart in silence. Ace was busy on his phone while Caden stood leaned against the wall with an annoyed look on his face.

Both of their eyes land on me at the same time, only making me more nervous then I should be. I could feel the sweat build up on my hands as I walk up to their tall figures.

I instantly avoid Caden, moving my attention towards Ace who was now off of his phone.

" Are you feeling alright from earlier?" Ace asks, walking up to me with a concerned look on his face and his hands in his pockets.
