Supreme Sorcerers: 29

Ava stirred awake with a slight headache and immediately flinched seeing someone hugging her close to their chest. They were sleeping soundly on the huge king-sized mattress in an unfamiliar room. Ava nearly screamed when the arms around her pulled her closer as she tried to move and the familiar scent whiffed her nose.

She didn't know when she breathed the sigh she was holding in, after recognising who the arms belonged to. But the relief quickly disappeared when he stirred and looked down at her widened eyes.

" You're awake... " he mumbled in a deep raspy voice and that was what Ava needed for snapping out of his arms.

" What were you doing to me and how did I come here? What place is this? " she hurriedly looked around, hugging herself. " Oh my God, how long have I been in here? What day is it? What year is this? "

" Hey! Calm down, " Lucas yelled, annoyingly ruffling his handsome bed hair while Ava continued to freak out. " You asked me to hug you last night and you were sobbing about your little broken life and cuddled me to sleep. I didn't do anything, I just brought you to my bedroom. You were not ready to leave me yet, so I just got into bed and cuddled with you. Oh my God, is that fine now? "

Ava stared at him as if he had just told her the Sunrise in West.

" I asked you to cuddle me? Hug me? " Hell no. You're lying, Lucas. "

Lucas fired back, instantly.

" Why should I? "

That was right. Why would he lie about hugging her? Lucas had always been a gentleman, she could never tell that he did something wrong to her when she wasn't in her right state of mind. He would never do that. But how did they end up in that place? They were cuddling, yes, not just him, her arms were wrapped around his neck too.

" I...I don't know. Don't come to me. Don't touch me. Then...then... I don't know! " she just yelled and fled out of the room by a door hoping to get a way out as soon as possible as she didn't want to look like a fool in front of the King.

" She's crazy... " Lucas mumbled but chuckled shaking his head. He got up from his bed and waddled to the study when Aslan sprouted out of nowhere with his iconic grumpy face that asked: What happened inside the room?

" When did you even come in? "

Aslan only shrugged his shoulders and said that he just reached when Ava bolted out of the bedroom and passed him to the exit and into the corridor.

" Your Majesty... "

" Yes? " Lucas slightly turned around and ruffled his hair trying to find something to flee through, knowing well that Aslan was prompting to start their recent arguments again.

" Stop running away from your fate, Your Majesty, accept the truth, please. "

" What truth are you talking about? " he bluntly asked strolling into his washroom to where Aslan didn't hesitate to follow. Lucas walked up to the greeny marble basin and picked up his toothbrush and toothpaste while Aslan's reflection desperately waited for an answer in the mirror before the King.

He started brushing his teeth while Aslan continued to stare into his soul creeping the hell out of the young king as Lucas quickly rinsed his mouth and washed his face with cold water.

" I still don't understand, " Lucas mumbled searching for the towel by flapping his left hand here and there to grab the handle with his eyes still closed when Aslan harshly pulled the towel out of the hanger and shoved it into the King's arms.
