Miles Morales has two people apart from his parents that tell him to follow what he wants to do before he got bitten by the spider. One was his uncle Aaron who encouraged his graffiti art and freedom, and the other was his mother's sister, Victoria Morales. Victoria is a genetic engineer, with a small secret, that moved to Brooklyn to live near her older sister and offers Miles moral and emotional support.
