"Victoria! Victoria!" a pretty Puerto Rican woman raised her hand to call attention of her sister who was now coming into her parking spot in front of their apartment buildings from her Night Shift at work.
"What is it sis?" Victoria Morales turned around to face her sister as she turned the key of the car to turn it off.
"Come have breakfast with us, Miles leaves today and he doesn't want to admit it but he is going to miss you" the woman admitted before she began to stray off "And he has been quite...difficult lately. I just don't know what to do"

"It's fine sis, I'm pretty sure it's just the fact that he is trying to cope with the whole changing schools and puberty and all that" Victoria noticed that her sister had a down fallen expression so she placed her hand on Rio's shoulder "But I would love to join you"

A dark skinned young boy of 14 years of age was drawing home made street art with headphones on over his ears and singing along to the song 'Sunflower'. Well, not singing, but more like mumbling along to the lines of the song.
A photo of a younger Miles Morales with his parents and his uncle Aaron was visible in the background. As well as another with his mother and his aunt Victoria.
"Miles! Miles, time for school!" his mother shouted from outside his room.
He did not hear her due to the volume at which he was listening to the music so Jefferson decided to take matters into his own hands.
"Miles! Miles! MILES!" the policeman shouted.
Miles whips off his headphones and sits up straight to look at his father.
"Yeah?!" Miles asked his father.
"Are you finished packing for school?"
"Yeah! Just, just ironing my last shirt!" Miles shouted back.
He looked over to his bag which was empty and not at all packed.

"¡Vamo chacho!" Río shouted from her spot on the living room table with of hot coffee.
"That kid" Victoria shook her head as she saw him rush around his room.
She hears Miles flying around the room, tossing things into something, and he comes out fixing his blue uniform jacket.
"C'mon, you are a grown man now! Let show these teachers that. Let's go!" Jefferson shouted back.
BAM!
The kid's room door flies open and Miles enters the living room, where his parents are getting ready for the day and his aunt was smiling up at him in her work lab coat.
"Where's my laptop?" he asked.
"Where did you last put it?" Rio asked him.
"¡Yo no se!" He responded.
"¿Donde le dejaste?" Victoria looked a tingle amused at the chaos the family was making to get out of the house that morning.
"If you want me to drive you we, gotta go now" Jefferson told his son.
"I can drive him if you..." Victoria was cut off by the man shaking his head and she sat back down, chugging her own mug of hot chocolate and finishing it.
"No Dad, I'll walk!" Miles responded as he kissed his aunt's and mother's cheeks quickly and edged away to the front door "It's ok..."
"Personal chauffeur going once..." the man counted down.
"Ay Maria, este nene me tiene loca!" Victoria took her sister's now empty cup and carried it over to the sink to clean it later on.
Miles grabbed his food as his Mom and dad frantically cross behind him.
"Miles, gotta go!" Rio told her son impatiently.
"Here kid" Victoria handed Miles a newly made toast as the kid rushed around the house.
"In a minute!" Miles said as he chewed the toast's edge corner.
"Gotta Go-ohh..." Rio said in a sing song voice.
"IN A MINUTE!!" the boy continued.
Once he was at the exit door, Rio smothered an embarrassed Miles with kisses making Miles roll his eyes out of embarrassment.
"Mom. I gotta go..." he whined out.
"In a minute..." the woman replied back as she kissed his cheek.
Miles rolls his bag down the steps as Rio calls out to him.
"Papá! Llamame! See you Friday!" Rio said as her sister handed her the keys to her car so she could go to the hospital.
"Have a good time!" Victoria chimed out after Miles.
"Okay, mami, tía. Hasta luego!"

Miles waved goodbye to his mother and aunt, nervousness swirling within him. As he made his way down the steps, he glanced back at Rio, who was already absorbed in a conversation with her sister.
He chuckled to himself, grateful for her brief moment of embarrassment-fueled affection earlier. It was a typical display of motherly love that never failed to bring a smile to his face.
Once he reached the bottom of the steps, Miles took a deep breath, steeling himself for the school day ahead. He adjusted the strap of his bag on his shoulder and started walking away from the police car where his father was waiting for him.

Victoria watched with a smile as her brother-in-law got into the car and Miles walked down the street to go to his new school.
"He really is an energetic boy isn't he?" she chuckled as she asked her sister.
"Yes but I'm not sure what to do with him" Rio sighed.
"Just let him take care of himself. He is no longer the baby you once had" the woman hugged her sister "Now go to work, I'll take care of your home and you try to keep yourself busy"
Rio thanked her sister and got into the pearl blue metallic car before turning the ignition key and waving goodbye to her sister as she left.
Victoria raised her hand until she saw her car where her sister was riding disappear down the road before she walked to the door right besides their home and entered her house. When she took off her lab coat, she rummaged in the many pockets it held and pulled out the vials filled with slightly glowing red liquid.
