"...I'm only here 'cause I won that stupid lottery..." Miles continued.
"No way. You passed the entry test just like everybody else, ok! You have an opportunity here, you wanna blow that, huh? You want to end up like your Uncle?" Jefferson mentioned his brother Aaron making Miles feel a bit madder.
"What's wrong with Uncle Aaron? He's a good guy" he muttered.
Jefferson flinched in anger but he manages to rein it in.
"...We all make choices in life..." he talked over Miles.
"...It doesn't feel like I have a choice right now and..." Miles continued on his own.
"YOU DON'T!" Jefferson shouted, cutting his son off.

"I love you, Miles" Jefferson told his son, trying to fix it.
"Yeah, I know, Dad. See you Friday" Miles shuts the door and walks away.
Jefferson watches, bummed at the state of the relationship, so he lifts his P.A.
"You gotta say I love you back"
"Dad are you serious?" Miles stares around as the people going into the school turned around.
"I wanna hear it. I love you, Dad. I love you Dad" Jefferson kept trying to make his son respond "Dad, I love you"
"You wanna hear me" Miles muttered to himself "You're dropping school. Look at this place" he sighed "Dad, I love you"
"That's a copy. Tie your shoes please!" 'the man said into his PA system before driving off.
Miles looks down at his shoes which had the laces untied and dragging on the floor but he does not tied them back up.
In a sea of blue, Miles awkwardly tries to interact like he was on his street but everyone's so focused.
"Hey good morning. How you doing?..." he turned to another person who crossed him "Weekend was short, huh?" he turns to another kid "Oh my gosh this is embarrassing, we wore the same jacket...
The uniformed kids just pass by leaving Miles discouraged.
"Hey" someone call to him, raising his hopes.
"Yeah?" he asked with a happy smile on his face.
"Your shoe's untied" the kid pointed out.
"Yeah, I'm aware. It's a choice" his shoulders drooped and he turned to walk down the hallway.
