As if sensing her curiosity, the spider person turned their head to meet her gaze, their lips curling into a mischievous smirk. Y/N felt a rush of warmth spreading across her cheeks, realizing that she had been caught staring.

"Hello there darlin'" he said, stalking closer to her.

He didn't even look at the Green Goblin when it groaned and began to wake up as he threw similar webs to hers and pushed him into the portal getting a yell from the villain.

"You say my face. That's a big no-no" he continued to stalk closer to her until he had her huddled against the wall "Well, a no-no for a no-no"

She didn't stop him as he hooked his fingers under her own mask and pulled it up, closing her e/c eyes momentarily when it went over her eyes and her vision was covered in black.

"There, that wasn't so bad now was it?" Y/N looked up shyly, not knowing why she wasn't making any effort to keep him away as she looked at his weird black and white colouring.

"Hobart!" a new voice yelled, getting closer to them.

Y/N flinched and took her mask back from the man still standing above her, and pulled it back over her face as the larger man that had chased the other woman away swung down to them.

"Did you get it back to HQ?" the new arrival asked.

"Yeah I did Miguel" Hobart replied.

"And, what is this?" the man named Miguel asked as he turned his head to Y/N who was still against the wall.

"My new friend. And she's coming along with us" Hobart said, pulling his arm over the girl's shoulder and pulling her away from the wall and towards the portal "She might know something about that other Spider person, who, may I add, you've been failing to catch for so long"

Miguel sighed and pinched the skin between his eyebrows, clearly not even acknowledging the male besides him as he let Hobart take Y/N into the portal, he not struggling to get out of his grip. Y/N nearly threw up when she and the other two men were sucked into it and flew into some sort of wormhole.

She felt the young man holding her closer to him to keep her from moving away from him. Finally, the sensation stopped and she caught her feet, touching the ground in some sort of different city where many diverse Spider people swinging above them.

"Come on sweet cheeks" Hobart pulled her forward.

"Your name is Hobart?" Y/N teased him about his name, now regaining her senses.

"No, it's Hobie. No one can call me Hobart, but Miguel's just an asshole" the young man replied with a grunt, pulling her head under his arm.

Y/N couldn't help but giggle at Hobie's response. The sudden change in surroundings had left her feeling disoriented, but now that her feet were firmly planted on the ground, she felt a renewed sense of curiosity. The sight of the diverse Spider people swinging above them fascinated her, their graceful movements through the city's skyline captivating her attention.

Hobie, seemingly unfazed by the presence of the Spider people, tugged her forward with a playful grin. His arm wrapped around her head in a teasing gesture, and Y/N playfully pushed against his side, their banter easing the tension that had momentarily consumed her as the man's easy going attitude infected her own.

"Alright, Hobie, I'll remember that" Y/N said, a mischievous glint in her eyes "No more Hobart, got it"

Hobie chuckled, his warm laughter filling the air. It was a comforting sound that made Y/N feel at ease in this strange new environment. As they walked through the bustling streets, Y/N couldn't help but notice the vibrant energy that permeated the city. People of all backgrounds and in different Spider suits hurried past.

Y/N found herself marveling at the architecture, the colorful murals that adorned the walls, and the enticing aroma of street food wafting through the air. "What is this place?" Y/N asked Hobie.

"Welcome, my lady, to Spider Society" Hobie opened his arms at her "By the way, I didn't catch you name"

"I didn't throw it" she retorted back "It's Y/N"

"Well then Y/N, I can tell we are going to become very good friends" Hobie replied.

Y/N couldn't help but smile at Hobie's playful response. There was something about his charm and lighthearted nature that put her at ease.
