why is it that people are scrutinized for wanting to be the main character?
the protagonist of their own life?
are we supposed to just live in the shadows?
the background while we watch people?

i want to be the main character
radiating that energy
of being naive
of growing
learning
becoming the best of what i know
reaching far past the galaxies
...
the longing of every main character in each story i've read
it can be real
it doesn't just have to be words on pages
...
let this be my magic
the magic of this world
of becoming the main character of my story
taking control of what hardships come my way
letting lucky encounters turn into long last relationships
having the courage to make the wrong decisions that lead to failure
but also lead me to a new life i could have never imagined
this is what my magic is
this is the power i have
as the beloved main character
