Author's POV

Everyone fell silent as Abhimanyu's livid voice rang through the room. They were discussing something important, not urgent, but important and someone dared to interrupt him. Not only the meeting was disturbed, the person had just barged inside without permission.

Amayra felt as if she just wanted to disappear from there. Even though she wanted to test Abhimanyu, hearing his loud voice scared the life out of her.

She honestly wasn't much scared of Adhiraj because he never actually shouted at people like Abhimanyu did. He was only calm while he faced any problems. The bigger the issue was, the calmer he became. The only time he actually showed his anger was when he found about Alina, her tutor.

She couldn't deny that fact that, however, Adhiraj was much more scary and dangerous than Abhimanyu; he felt much more closed off. He was the father after all. Amayra was the only exception, for he softened for no one. Not even for Zaira sometimes, but he loved her dearly.

Amayra looked at the floor with fear in her eyes.

How foolish she was!

What if he really did hurt her?

He was, after all, known for having a very bad temper.

Abhimanyu lifted his piercing gaze towards the intruder. However, his icy cold stare turned gentle once he looked at the small girl. He couldn't help but be amused by her appearance. She was wearing a hoodie ten times her size. She was looking like she was floating in it.

How cute!

" Little girl, have you lost your way?"

A kind voice reached Amayra's ears. Looking up hesitantly, she noticed Abhimanyu, his friends, Karan and a few men unknown to her.

She shook her head at the question and looked down again. Karan had just opened his mouth to say something when another voice interrupted him.

" Troublemakers aren't allowed here kid. This is an important meeting for the adults. Go out!" A man said impatiently.

He wasn't wrong in any way. If it were for other kids, they definitely weren't allowed in there, let alone disturb the meeting of the chairperson.

" Shut yourself up and get out of the conference room this instance!"

Abhimanyu spoke calmly.

It doesn't matter if he was right or wrong, no one should ever talk with Amayra like that.

No one.

The man trembled slightly and left after Abhimanyu shot him a glare. Abhimanyu finally looked at Amayra in the eyes.

" Everyone except family moves out of here," he stated.

Soon, a few men left the room leaving Abhimanyu, his friends, Karan and two men again.

" Come here!"

Abhimanyu says.

Amayra glanced backwards and pouted at Mehra who looked like he was ready to leave the room. Mehra widened his eyes and looked at Abhimanyu who was glaring at him.

" Myra," Abhimanyu warned.

Amayra pouted even more unconsciously. He wasn't angry, she knew it. She was relieved. Abhimanyu has passed his test. However, she knew he was going to chide her.

Huh! Mehra was useless!

Upset, she turned her eyes back to Abhimanyu and pouted at him. Abhimanyu couldn't help but be taken aback by her action. Initially, he had thought that he would tell her to inform him before she arrives. Maybe even school her a little. However, his words were forced back down when he saw her adorable face. Her doe eyes were wide and her baby like lips were pouted. She was looking at him hopefully and he pursed his lips.
