Duchess of Cambridge Expecting 3rd Child

Kensington Palace has announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child.

In a statement, Kensington Palace said: "Their royal highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.

"As with her previous two pregnancies it is expected that her Ehlers Danlos symptoms will worsen as she progresses. Though, Her Royal Highness still plans on carrying out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road children's centre in London today."

Individuals with hEDS and HSD may encounter pregnancy-related problems such as ineffective anesthetic, unusually fast labors and births, problematic bleeding, and/or poor wound healing.

The duchess is understood to be around 15 weeks pregnant, with Kensington Palace on high alert due to the risky nature of her pregnancy.

Prince Harry gave a thumbs up when asked about the baby as he arrived for an engagement in Manchester. "Fantastic. Great. Very, very happy for them." On how the duchess was, he replied: "I haven't seen her for a while but I think she's OK."

Clarence House said the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall were "delighted at the news".

A Downing Street spokesperson, asked for prime minister Theresa May's response, said: "It is fantastic news, and she asks for all of England to keep the duchess's health in their thoughts."

Royal observers had indicated it was likely that the couple would have three children. Jaclyn, though she now has a younger brother Caleb born in 2000, grew up an only child. On a royal tour of Poland in July 2017, she joked about having a third after being given a present designed for newborns, turning to William and saying: "I think this is a sign!"

William, 35, who is one of two siblings, may not initially have been convinced. On an overseas tour of Singapore in 2012, when asked by a group of teenagers how many children he would like to have, he said he was "thinking about having two". Many believe is wariness comes from a place of worrying over his wife.

"I'm not sure what I can do," Jaclyn sighs, refusing to look up from the soft soil she's dug up from the garden. In her hands the ground melds and unfurls to her will, and new life is spoken into each seed she drops down and covers.

Lady Mountbatten scoffs, primly lounging in the lawn chair that was brought out for her. Jaclyn doesn't have to look up to see the woman's scowl.

Across the garden the kids are tossing dirt around with their plastic garden tools, and planting their few 4 packs of flowers and vegetables with practiced care. The lessons from her father and Charles have been paying off it seems.

"The hope is she'll listen to you. Relate to your situation, and see your words more as advice than censorship."

From her knees, Jaclyn tilts her head over her shoulder to look back at the woman. Her ponytail falls haphazardly over the ground, and her gloved hands spread handprints across her jeans. "Meghan and I aren't that close-"

"Her insolence cannot continue, Jaclyn."

"Insolence?" She asks, with a skeptical quirk of her brow.
