Jackie and Thomas's duet is based off this beautiful piece I found online, but I took some liberties with it.

Dropping her things off at her mirror, allowed Jaclyn to shake off the external weight, but there was still a small weight clinging to her heart the excitement from the morning still fresh on her mind.

It was only when she plopped down between Natania and Thomas, completing their stretch circle that she realized everything that had happened. First off, William and her had spent the night together curled onto one another after a night of pushing boundaries they had established. Then his father had to walk in on them, but as she pulled a fresh scone from her breakfast sack she was kind of pleased he had.

"Where'd you get that?" Natania ooed mouth watering as Jaclyn basically snogged the pastry. Without looking up she said, "I somehow invited The Prince of Wales to the show today." As if that explained everything, "Oh, and Zara says good luck."

"Did you have breakfast with royals?" Popping up from his middle split stretch Thomas gasped, bracing his partner by the shoulders. All the dancers who were paying them no attention before suddenly turned to gape like she was on display.

"Technically no," she then lowered her voice but kept her icy eyes on the girls trying to sneak her whispered words, "But I did spend the night."

At the same time both her friends asked, "did you guys..."

"Lord no," Jaclyn giggled. She had never even kissed a guy, was that sad since she was eighteen? Clearly unimpressed with her lack of action Thomas changed the subject, "I still can't believe The Prince of Wales is coming."

"Imbeciles, it is called The Royal Ballet," Emma scoffed. She stood above them already in her gray leo for her number. Emma held her head high wanting to show off the crystals lining her high neck. There was an arrogant determination settled deep within the brunette. For the weeks they had been back Emma seemed to have an agenda, but...

"Miss Branson, a word please."

In a matter of seconds Emma's confidence shattered, she didn't even try to hide the slump in her posture as she followed their director to the corner.

Ms. Lewis's face morphed into something the other dancers had never seen before from her. Rage held her eyebrows tightly together, and while they couldn't hear her yelling the sharp movements of her lips could be seen from afar.

"I heard she got a pink slip yesterday," one of the girls whispered their eyes shamelessly staring at the student and teacher. Thomas dropped his head fiddling with his thumbs to stop from playing with his gelled hair. Emma was a brat who didn't like not being the best, but she was still his sister. He could see her struggling, and instead of helping, yes he had retracted.

Every student in third year knew this moment was coming. Yes, she seemed to have her eyes set on Jaclyn's spot, as they all did, but it seemed her determination had blinded her instead of guided. She had grown sloppy in technique class, arrogant in rehearsal, and no one had time for that.
