Chapter 31

Choko's POV

Sitting at the top of stairs outside I look above all I-island.

Feeling someone coming I look to the right seeing Shield walk towards me. "Hey Choko you texted?"

Nodding, I pat next to me. "Here, take a seat."

Doing so she takes a seat and turns to me. "Is everything okay?"

Looking forward I take in the view, she deserves to know. "I lied to you."

"Huh?"

"Almost a year ago Arata Tsutako and I were assigned a high stakes mission together and Arata he.."

I look at Shield who already has tears welling up. "He didn't make it."

At that the tears started pouring out. Covering her mouth she lets out a cry bending down.

Hugging her I rub her back. "I'm sorry. He saw you as one of his best companions, you know that?"

Still crying we stayed like that until her tears turned into small cries slowly fading of into the night sky.

"Well this is goodbye.'' Hugging Shield one more I pick up my bags getting ready to board the Corpse private plane.

"It will be a while before we see each other again, won't it?" Shield frowned.

Looking up at her I smile sadly. "Most likely. Next time let's hope to meet under better circumstances."

Turning around before I could leave, Shield called out "Oh, wait take this!"

Turning around I look at her hand holding a picture frame with her Arata Tsutako and I eating Ice cream with Mr. Shield. I chuckle seeing Arata's and I's half green hair caused by us fooling around with Mr. Shields stuff, it would come out almost a week later.

"I was wondering if you could.." Her words trailed off as she swallowed a lump in her throat.

"Put this at his grave. To-to let him know I'm thinking of him and and.."

Taking the picture gently from her hands I hold it close to my chest. "I know."

Smiling, she pulls me into one last hug sending me off.

Waving goodbye I turn around entering the tunnel to board the plane. I hope I live long enough to see you again my friend but if not I hope you will put this at my grave as well.

"Who's ready for camp?!" Cheering, Ochako pulls her suitcase towards the bus.

"Excited?" I chucked at Ochako's pure excitement.

Nodding, she and I put our suitcase under the bus but I kept my sheathed katana on hand

"Choko did you take my earbuds?" Hearing Tsutako I turn to see her walking over from class B's bus.

"I am offended you would suspect me of such treturey." I gasp dramatically watching Tsutako rummage through my backpack.

"Oh don't give me that."

I can feel her roll her eyes looking deeper into my bag.

"To be accused by own flesh and blood.." Sighing I wipe a fake teer. "It brings a tear to my eye."

Izuku and Ochako watch my dramatics sweet dropping.

As she takes her hand out of my bag she opens her fist revealing a pair of earbuds.
