Tides of Surprise: Mermaid Inlet Reunion

Luffy jolts awake from a nightmare.

Copper: "LUFFY! Thank goodness you're awake."

Camie: "Luffy-chin, I'm so glad you're alright. How do you feel?"

Luffy: "Hey! It's Camie. I haven't seen you in a long time."

Camie: "Sorry, I was going to pick you guys up but missed the date by one month..."

Sanji: "You're prettier than ever, Camie-chan~"

Luffy: "We're on Fish-Man Island?!"

Usopp: "Yeah, the mermaids saved us after we drowned."

Sanji: "This is Camie's home; here is your hat."

Luffy: "Oh, so where is the rest of the crew and Nami?"

Usopp: "We got separated."

Luffy: "I hope that they're okay, especially Nami." *He whispers the last part.*

Luffy: "I'm sure that they're fine."

Camie: "I want to see the others too. You must be chilled to the bone; have some soup to warm up."

Usopp: "Great!"

Camie: "It's cold kelp soup! It's good!"

Copper: "Cold soup?!"

Camie: "Wait, you can't warm up with cold soup!!! I made a mistake."

Sanji: "It's okay; it will still warm us!"

Camie: "Your clothes are dried."

Luffy: "Oh! Thanks."

Camie: "Let's go; I want to introduce you to my friends."

Everyone: "Sure."

They all arrive at Fish-Man Island, Mermaid Inlet.

Chopper: "Sanji is crying!"

Luffy: "You're crying more than when you left Baratie."

Sanji: "I finally found the All Blue of my dreams!!!"

Usopp: "So, your quest is over now."

Mermaid: "What are you crying about? Let's dance in the sea."

Sanji: "WHAT!! This can't be true." *He keeps on crying.*

Usopp: "Seriously, what happened to you over the past 2 years."

Luffy: "You guys can stay here; I'm gonna go find Nami and the others."

Rest of the crew: "Okay! We will come later."

Luffy goes into town to find Nami. He sees Nami shopping with Robin and pulls Nami to a side in an alleyway.

Nami: "What! The- Luffy!!"

Luffy: "Nami, thank goodness you're okay." *He hugs her; Nami blushes a little at his touch and hugs him back.*

Nami: "I'm okay, as you can see." *She strokes his hair.*

Luffy: "Nami, I need you."

Nami: "Hmm, wait wha-"

Luffy: "Stay with me for a bit and let me hug you."

Nami: "O-okay." *She blushes.*

After a while, Luffy lets her go and places his hat on her head.

Luffy: "Stay safe, okay? I'm gonna pretend that I never found you and go back to Sanji and the others. We are at the Mermaid Inlet; take care of my hat." *He smiles at her.*

Nami: "Okay, but wouldn't it be suspicious that I have your hat?"

Luffy: "I'll just say I lost it, and you can say that you found it on the floor."

Nami: "But you're not good at lying."

Luffy: "Trust me, I can lie perfectly when I want to." *He looks at Nami with a poker face, then returns it to his original smile.*

Nami's POV
Nami: "O-okay."

Nami: "That look, I have never seen that look on his face. Just how much do I know you, Luffy? I think to myself."

Luffy: "See you later!"

Nami: "See you then..." *I then watch him walk away from the alley then I realize that Robin must be looking for me, so I exit the alleyway.*

Robin: "Thank goodness I found you, Nami. I was looking everywhere for yo- oh my, is that Luffy's hat."

Nami: "Y-yes." *I cover my eyes with his hat due to embarrassment.*

Robin: "Judging by your expression, I think it's safe to assume that Luffy was here."

Nami: "Yea~"

Robin: "So, did he say something?"

Nami: "He was worried for my well-being, that's all."

Robin: "Oh~ really, that's interesting." *She gives me a smirk.*

Nami: "Anyways, let's continue with our shopping."

Robin: "Sure, let's go. By the way, that hat suits you."

Nami: "Thanks, Robin. He did tell me to keep it for the time being, he will take it from me later though."

Robin: ". It seems like Luffy cares a lot about you."

Nami: "Yeah, he's always surprising me."
