"Seriously dude! I'm glad he didn't mess up or say something stupid to you!" Keefe exclaimed, his arm around Dex's shoulder as they walked together in.
Tam walked alongside Keefe, holding his hand on the other side.
Dex laughed nervously. "I think we both said a few stupid things, but I'm just glad it worked out in the end."
"I told you to have faith, didn't I?" Tam questioned, a slight smirk on his face as he looked at Dex.
Dex smiled at Tam.
"Mmh, you were right, Tam." Dex said.

Keefe looked up ahead and he raised his eyebrow.
"Your future boyfriend is at your locker with a few girls pestering him~" Keefe said, taking his arm away from Dex.
"What-?"
Dex looked up ahead and he sighed.
"Alright, I'll see you guys around. I need to save Fitz." Dex said, waving at the couple before walking towards his locker.

Keefe and Tam both watched Dex walked towards Fitz and the small huddle of girls.
"How long you think it'll take them to break up?" Keefe asked, looking at Tam.
"Don't be an ass!" Tam scowled, looking at Keefe.
"You're Fitz's best friend, how can you say that?"
Keefe grinned.
"Haha! I was joking!" Keefe exclaimed.

"... But 2 months tops before they break up because of Fitz and his 'reputation'."
"Keefe, I... I can't deal with you right now."
Tam let go of Keefe's hand and walked off.
"What? Noo! Tammy!!"
Keefe quickly caught up and wrapped his arms around Tam's waist from behind and kissed his cheek. Tam's face turned red and he scolded Keefe while Keefe continued to pepper his face with kisses.

Dex cleared his throat and he made his way over to Fitz and the small group of girls.
"Uh, hey." Dex smiled at Fitz.
Fitz was holding a singular flower in his hand. Dex couldn't stop himself from smiling slightly.
"Hi." Fitz smiled.
Dex glanced at the girls who were staring at him, judging him. Dex managed to keep a friendly smile on his face.

"Excuse me ladies but Fitz is at my locker and I think he wants to talk to me without an audience, so please go to your lessons?" Dex said.
"What are you, a Mentor?" One of the girls scoffed.
Dex raised his eyebrows and shot a glare.
"Leave, now. And go to your first lesson."
That seemed to work as the girls all seemed to walk off, sort of slowly.
"That was weird..."
"I've never seen him like that before..."

Dex then smiled at Fitz, whose face was red.
"Uh... okay, yep." Fitz said, nervously biting his lower lip.
"You're amazing."
Dex felt his cheeks warm and he fiddled with his cape nervously.
"Haha, shut up." Dex said, smiling.
"They were just being annoying..."
"Seriously Dex, I wish I could just snap at them like that." Fitz sighed.

"But I guess that's why you're my knight in shining armour."
Dex blinked and he couldn't help but laugh.
"Haha! Knight in shining armour? Me?" Dex questioned.
Fitz's face turned red.
"Ugh, ignore me. One time Keefe said you were my knight in shining armour and that I was a damsel in distress because you kept saving me from the girls that'd surround me." Fitz explained, not making any direct eye contact with Dex.

Dex just giggled and he took a few steps forward.
"Heheh, you're an idiot."Dex smiled.
"Is that your love language? Calling me an idiot?" Fitz questioned, raising an eyebrow at Dex.
"Mmh, yeah. But if it really hurts your feelings, I'll stop." Dex shrugged.
Fitz sighed as he gently held the flower out and placed it up towards Dex's face.
"Nah." Fitz said.
Dex looked into Fitz's eyes as Fitz gently placed the flower behind Dex's ear and in his hair.
"I know you don't mean it."

Fitz smiled at Dex and Dex really swore his heart was going to explode at any minute. His face was definitely super red now.
"You're super cheesy." Dex said, his voice slightly cracking as he looked away.
Fitz smiled as he admired the flower and how Dex looked with it in his hair.
"Haha, yeah... be prepared for a lot of cheesy, stereotypical stuff for our date." Fitz said, rubbing his neck.
"Mmh, can't wait." Dex smiled at Fitz.

"So... those girls have no clue that you may be taken soon?" Dex questioned, glancing around and seeing a few girls walking by and glaring at him.
"Oh come on, if I tell them that, then they'll bother you." Fitz said.
"I'd rather not make you suffer."
Dex raised his eyebrows.
"Okay... but when we're actually dating, maybe you could-" Dex began.
"When you're actually what?"

Dex and Fitz jumped and looked over to see Sophie standing there, definitely surprised by what she heard.
"Oh, hey Sophie!" Dex grinned nervously.
Fitz gulped and he smiled.
"Haha, uh... Dex and I are uhm..." Fitz fumbled with his words.
"Well we're not anything right now but uh..."
Sophie blinked and she looked at Dex.
"Are you sure you're making the right choice here, Dex?" Sophie questioned.
Fitz scoffed.
"Hey-!" Fitz began.
Dex laughed and he smiled at Sophie.

"I hope you're not upset about this, especially since you dated Fitz before..." Dex said, fiddling with his cape.
"He's all yours, Dex. I mean...all I want to tell you is... don't hesitate to break up with him if he says something stupid." Sophie said.
"He may have a pretty face but he's hopeless sometimes."
Sophie shot a glare at Fitz and Fitz felt a little uncomfortable, looking away.
Dex felt weird with the energy between Sophie and Fitz.
"Hahah, okay, okay." Dex said.
Sophie smiled at Dex.
"Good luck."
Sophie then walked off.

Dex looked at Fitz.
"Uh, so Sophie now knows too!" Dex exclaimed.
"Eugh, I wish she'd shut up sometimes..." Fitz grumbled.
Dex smiled.
"Why don't you walk me to my first lesson?" Dex asked.
Fitz sighed and smiled at Dex, quickly running his fingers through his hair.
"Sure. Let's go."
Fitz held his hand out and Dex couldn't help but feel happy. He took Fitz's hand and their fingers interlocked. They began to walk together and talk, making their way to where Dex's first lesson would be held.

Dex was actually thrilled about this. He didn't expect Fitz to feel comfortable holding hands in the halls of Foxfire, but it seemed like he was wrong.
And plus, now he felt like he was way more superior than those girls that surround Fitz. He felt more confident to act out if he needed to, just because he knew that Fitz liked him. No, that Fitz loved him. And he was going on a date with Fitz, and what were these girls doing? Not going on a date with Fitz Vacker, that's one thing for sure!

Dex was excited.
