Jiang Zhiyi had long prepared for her escape.

Living on the second floor, not too far from the ground, she followed what was written in books, rolling the bed sheets into a rope and connecting them. When her parents went to work and left, she secretly slid down from the window.

Zhou Huaying didn't expect Jiang Zhiyi to run away on her own, and she hadn't searched her pocket money.

Jiang Zhiyi's living expenses were cut off, but her grandfather and her cousin Jiang Zhida occasionally gave her money. She also had her New Year's money, so she wasn't short of funds.

During her escape, she took all of this money with her.

Jiang Zhiyi envisioned a bright future. Upon reaching Guangzhou, she first called her cousin Jiang Zhida and brother Qian Ran. Since they were in Guangzhou, there would always be a place for her to stay

With no one to control or restrain her, it was like "the sky is high, and the birds can fly; the sea is wide, and the fish can leap." She could pursue any dreams or aspirations she wanted.

She lacked experience in traveling far from home. Although she was aware of being cautious around strangers, she didn't guard her money. Right after buying the ticket, all the money in Jiang Zhiyi's pocket was stolen.

Her pants were also cut, revealing her skin, but she didn't feel it until someone on the train pointed it out. Her bag was also torn.

Jiang Zhiyi's money was split between these two places, and now she had none left. She immediately wanted to kneel down and cry.

However, this was the path she chose, and it was her own lack of thorough consideration. Even though she lost money, she had to endure it. Jiang Zhiyi held back her tears, went to the restroom, and changed into another pair of pants.

The girl who reminded Jiang Zhiyi seemed friendly. After returning from the restroom, Jiang Zhiyi thanked her and squeezed into the crowded hard seat, enduring the upcoming journey.

The friendly girl struck up a conversation with Jiang Zhiyi, asking where she was headed. Her voice was gentle, and her smile was friendly. Remembering what her cousin Jiang Zhida had said before about not trusting anyone on the train, even those who had helped you.

Jiang Zhiyi didn't say much. She only mentioned that she was going to find her brother, who was waiting for her at the destination.

The seemingly friendly girl asked if she was going out to work, and that she was planning to broaden her horizons in Guangzhou.

Jiang Zhiyi shook her head and said, "No."

Refusing to say more, she turned her head to the window, pretending to admire the scenery.

The distance from the capital to Guangzhou was considerable, and since Jiang Zhiyi had no money, her initial plan to buy food on the train had to be abandoned.

Fortunately, when she ran away, she saw some snacks on the table in her room. Thinking it would be a waste not to eat them, she stuffed them into her bag. Otherwise, on this several-day-long journey, she would have starved on the train.

There was free hot water on the train, so Jiang Zhiyi looked at the hot water and snacks, trying hard to save. Eventually, they arrived in Guangzhou.

The bitterness and pain along the way made Jiang Zhiyi want to cry just thinking about it.

However, when she got off the train, the seemingly friendly girl who sat with her the whole way suddenly grabbed her and shouted, "Cousin, where are you going? We're going to our uncle's place. Don't get lost."
