"Right then, Rose Tyler, you tell me - where do you wanna go? Backwards or forwards in time? It's your choice. What's it gonna be?" the Doctor says as Rose runs in to the Tardis.

"Forwards." she responds with a shake of her head debating to when they should go. With the answer the Doctor and Captain start pressing a few buttons to get the Tardis to take them to the future.

"How far?" the Captain asks.

"..One hundred years." Rose says bewildered. With that the Doctor puts in the year and co-ordinates, the Captain pulls a lever and turns a dial and the Tardis starts revving and every so often shaking the whole place as it takes the three through time.

After a few seconds the Captain turns the same dial "There you go, step outside those doors - it's the 22nd century." he says pointing towards the doors.

"You're kidding." Rose responds.

"That's a bit boring, though. D'you wanna go further?" the Doctor asks.

"Fine by me." Rose smiles.

The Doctor spins a wheel for a few seconds and pumps the Tardis eventually turning the same dial that the Captain did a little while earlier. The Tardis starts up again as it takes them further into the future. "Ten thousand years in the future. Step outside - it's the year 12005. The new Roman Empire." the Doctor tells Rose.

"You think you're so impressive." Rose smiles.

"We are so impressive!" the Captain responds.

"You wish!" Rose tells them.

"Right, then. You asked for it. I know exactly where to go." the Doctor says, spinning the wheel for a little while longer then last time "Hold on!" the Doctor tells her as he pumps the Tardis again and it roars louder then the last couple of times. Turning the dial the Captain dings a bell to signal they've arrived.

"Where are we?" Rose asks, as creaking can be heard and the Doctor just points towards the door. "What's out there?" Rose asks after looking behind her. The Doctor not saying anything just points to the door again with a smug look on his face. With that an excited Rose walks towards the door opening it and walking into an unfamiliar room. The Captain and Doctor soon follow her out. The Doctor walks over to a panel on the wall which he uses his screwdriver on it to open the shutters of an enormous window. Rose slowly walks down a couple of sets of stairs, followed by the Captain and eventually the Doctor, both men standing by her side.

"You lot... you spend all your time thinking about dying. Like you're gonna get killed by eggs or beef or global warming or asteroids. But you never take time to imagine the impossible, that maybe you survive." the doctor says as the three of them look at the earth through the window.

"This is the year 5.5/Apple/26. Five billion years in your future. And this is the day..." the Captain starts "Hold on..." he looks at his watch, and then the sun gets brighter. "This is the day the sun expands. Welcome to the end of the world." he says softly looking at the blonde girl, who looks back at him.

"Shuttles five and six now docking. Guests are reminded that Platform One forbids the use of weapons, teleportation and religion. Earth-death is scheduled for 15:39, followed by drinks in the Manchester Suite." A voice can be heard broadcast through the station.

As the Doctor, Captain and Rose walk down a corridor, "So when it says 'guests' does that mean people?" Rose asks.

"Depends what you mean by people." the Doctor responds.

"I mean people. What do you mean?" Rose says.

"Aliens." the Captain answers.

"What are they doing on board this space-ship? What's it all for?" Rose asks as the Doctor takes out his screwdriver and messes with a control panel.
