Amy was still asleep when Dudley and Newton took her with them on their wagon.

Dudley held her on his lap, still wrapped in the blanket, while Newton tried to keep the horses as quiet as possible.

A few seconds later, the girl's eyes fluttered open.

"Good morning, sweetling" said Dudley.

"Good morning" Amy whispered.

Then she started to realize where she was. "Where are we going?"

"Far away" said Newton.

"Why?" said Amy.

Dudley smiled kindly and explained to Amy what he and Newton were.

"You see, my love... Newton and I are but stranded actors. We've very little money because we were abandoned by our company" he said.

"It ran off with all of our wages" said Newton.

"That wasn't nice" said Amy innocently.

"No it was not. That's why we need to hurry" said Newton.

"I wanna help. Is there a way I could help you get more money?" said Amy.

"It's not for you to worry about, child" said Newton. "We made our bed and we must lay in it."

Meantime, on a quaint train, an attractive young blonde woman was sitting in her compartment.

She was dressed in a long skinny pink dress and drinking a glass of tea.

Her sister sat across from her, a quirky-looking blonde girl in a skinny green dress.

Their mother was a stone-faced woman with short black hair, wearing a huge black and red dress.

"Angelique, mon cher," she said to the blonde girl. "Your future groom awaits."

"Oui, Mamon" said the girl in pink.

Her sister was about to stand, but the mother stopped her.

"No. You are not betrothed, Camille" she said.

"But Mamon, could I not marry someone?" said Camille.

"You will never be betrothed. You are the spare" said the mother.

And that was her final word before leaving with the pink-dressed girl, Angelique.

Camille sat alone in the compartment and looked out the window.

She so wanted to meet someone and marry them.

So she sang to herself about finding her true love.

I wonder, I wonder

I wonder why each little bird has a someone

To sing to, sweet things to

A gay little love melody

I wonder, I wonder

If my heart keeps singing, will my song go winging

To someone who'll find me

And bring back a love song to me
