Syd's POV: At Eli's House

"Baby, stop rubbing my belly. It's an embryo." I giggled.

"Still my baby in there." He grinned.

"I'm surprised you're so excited about this. We're not even going to be around it so much since it'll be with a foster parent." I sighed.

"I know, but this is just pretty exciting." He chuckled lightly.

I kicked him lightly, so he'd stop rubbing my stomach, but that made him pick me up and tickle me all over.

"Okay, okay, I'm sorry for kicking you." I whined.

"Hm, was that so difficult?" He smirked as he put me down.

"Yes." I pouted.

He chuckled before kissing me.

"Do you think it'll be a girl or a boy?" He asked.

"Elijah, it's not even--" I started.

"A fetus yet, I know, despite that, answer the question." He begged.

"A girl." I grinned lightly.

"I think so too." He chuckled as he rubbed my stomach again.

"Hm, you're already making the baby a daddy's girl." I pouted.

"Yep." He sneered as he laid down on his back.

I laid down on mine and held his hand.

"I wonder how our parents are going to react to this. They're going to find out eventually, especially if I end up showing." I sighed.

"Maybe if you show we can, like, arrange a dinner and tell them, we can tell them we're handling this, and that we already have a plan so they don't freak out." He suggested.

"Gosh, how do you think your parents will react?" I questioned.

"Well... my mom's going to be pissed, mainly because the triplets are so young. My dad's probably just going to want to make sure we're financially okay, and do background checks on the foster parents. Abby... she doesn't even like when you or Vannie sleep over, so to find out that you're pregnant... she won't be happy. How will your mom react?" He explained.

"Oh, she'll probably kill me. Blame it on the fact that my dad's dead." I groaned.

"S-S-Speaking of your dad, you still haven't met his family. What happened to that idea?" He questioned.

"My mom shut it down. She's convinced that his family is evil." I sighed.

"Your mom's working overnight. What if we go to your house and look for anything we can find?" He suggested.

"Can we?" I beamed as I sat up.

"Yeah, let's go." He chuckled.

We headed back to my house, then entered my mom's room.

"I'm going to take a picture of the room so that everything can go back to where it's supposed to be." I said as I took out my phone.

I took pictures of the room, then we searched. We didn't find anything until we opened the closet. There were a few loose floorboards, and when I took it out, I found an enormous box.

"This must be it." I gasped.

"Wait, wait, wait, before you open the box, you know you're going to find something crazy out. Are you ready?" Eli asked.

I hesitated before nodding. I opened the box and saw pictures of my parents together when they were younger. I grinned lightly as I saw how happy and in love they were. Then I saw pictures from when he had tried chemo before his cancer was classified as terminal. I really wish I got to know him. I found love letters from when my parents were in college and in a long distance relationship, then I found letters from relatives. They were in Spanish, so I had to translate them for Eli.
