*Author's Note: Um... I just realized how similar an event in Essence and CSA are. I didn't write these scenes at the same time, so I don't even know how this happened... but it's too late to change it now. Oh well!*

Let's skip to the day of the graduation. My parents were coming to support Myles, along with his parents. Dad and Ryan instantly talked. Mom and Emily were struggling with small talk. I just wanted the graduation to start. The sooner it started, the sooner it ended, meaning the sooner the after party, and the sooner I could get to Desiree's graduation. Daniel was saving me a seat, which I didn't want because of Bailey, but surprisingly, she didn't mind. I'm surprised she even took him back.

"Essence, why do you have that big ass poster?" Dad scoffed.

"To congratulate Myles. I think it's cute." I whined.

I decorated an enormous poster saying "Congratulations, Myles! We're so proud of you!". Sure, it was bigger than the other posters, but Myles didn't have the best eyesight. I wanted him to see it.

Once he was called up to get his diploma, I was screaming happily. He looked over at me and gave me a look, quickly shutting me up. Was he embarrassed of me?

"Myles doesn't like a lot of attention, that's all it is." Emily comforted.

What do you know?! I thought.

That was embarrassing. Once the graduation was over, I wanted to just get up and leave, but Mom told me I should talk to him.

"Why were you screaming so loudly?" Myles snapped.

"Because I'm happy for you. This is a big milestone." I squeaked.

"I just don't like too much attention on me. You screeching like a banshee is too much. Why not just cheer like a normal person?" He grouched.

"Because I'm not a normal person. Why don't you think 'it's amazing that my girlfriend is so proud of me, it makes me feel good'?" I scoffed.

"Because the people here are now talking shit, which I don't like. Now it's going to be awkward at the party." He muttered.

"Are you fucking kidding me? These people don't mean shit. It's not like you're going to see them again. If people are talking shit, fuck them. At least I'm not embarrassed to show how happy I am for you. I can't believe you're acting like this," I cried.

"I just don't like too much attention on me, and you're not understanding that." He said.

"I do understand that. What I don't understand is when you started caring about what people have to say about you, and since when you were embarrassed of me." I snapped.

"I'm not embarrassed of you. I just wish you weren't so loud." He croaked.

"Well, it's not like I can take it back. I'm sorry for embarrassing you and I'm sorry for being so happy that my boyfriend graduated." I scoffed before tossing the poster and leaving.

I headed to Desi's school and got there just in time.

"You look pissed." Bailey said as I sat down next to her.

"I am. Myles is being a bitch." I muttered as I folded my arms.

"Uh-oh." She sighed.

"He's mad that I was loud when he got his diploma. I think after the whole tape thing, people have been bothering him." I groaned.

"You two will figure it out." Daniel comforted.

"I hope so. We were supposed to go out after the graduation party. I don't know if that's still happening." I muttered.
