AMELIAS POV
Owen and I didn't say a word after that. I didn't know what to say. Was he flirting with me? Was he being nice? We eventually got out of the tub and put on pajamas and I laid down in bed. Owen grabbed his pillow and went for the door.

"Wait where are you going?" I asked as I sat up.

"I feel like I freaked you out with what I said," he admitted, "I'm gonna sleep on the couch."

"You didn't freak me out," I said.

"You haven't said a word since I said it," he said.

"Well," I said, "did you mean it in a friend way or a more than friend way?" He paused and looked at me.

"Which way do you prefer?" He chuckled.

"Doesn't matter. How did you mean it?" I challenged.

"I think we both know we've crossed the line into some sort of more than friend situation the last few weeks," he said softly. I nodded and looked at him.

"Yeah I think you're right," I said.

"I meant it that I think you're beautiful. As both a friend and attractive wise," he said, "for the record." I nodded and looked at him.

"Don't sleep on the couch," I said.

"I think you're the most beautiful woman in the entire world," he said, "and I think if I lay down next to you I won't be able to control how I feel about you."

"Who said you had to control it?" I asked him. He raised an eyebrow at me and looked back at the bed.

"We can't go back to just being friends if something happens," he said. I thought about it and nodded.

"It's worth the risk," I said.

"You're sure?" He said.

"I'm sure," I said. He came back over to the bed and put his pillow down. He sat down next to me and I smiled. He pushed a piece of hair behind my ear and I could feel myself blushing. Were we doing this? Was he going to kiss me? I could feel my heart racing. He stroked my cheek with his thumb and I felt like I couldn't breathe. In that moment I don't think I was breathing. I was waiting for him to kiss me. He pulled me closer with his other hand and locked his lips with mine. It was magical. He pulled me into his lap and I pulled him as close as possible to me.

"For the record," I said and pulled back, "you're not so bad looking yourself, attractive wise."
