"These trees are the size of skyscrapers!" Lloyd cried out in awe, his dragon leaning and weaving around the massive trees.
Zane's dragon swooped down, enjoying the misty forest air. He calmed the steed down, sighing. "These are the world trees, they-"
"There!" You suddenly shouted, not even sure if you had said it yourself. Your hand had automatically moved from Dragon-Sora's scales, and was now pointed up to a tree. The voice was seriously pissing you off now.
Said tree has a large hole in it, like those owl nests kids drew on every tree. Inside, you could just barely make out the red columns and blue roof of a small temple. A torii gate sat in front of it.
Lloyd at the front, led the team up to the temple, landing steadily inside the cave-like structure.
Hopping off of Dragon-Sora, you watched as he gazed around, eyes landing on the worn temple once more. He smiled to you, as some sorts of thanks for finding the place.
Following behind you, Sora gasped, glancing around. "I feel like an ant.. wait- the door.. it's a puzzle lock! Maybe if we-
Kai rushed forward, holding a hand out in front of her. "Let us handle this one, trainee.." he stared at the door, pulling down the middle of the three wooden levers. "Uhh.."
The door clicked, some of the letters around the ornate details lit up a light blue. "Hey! I made it do a thing! I deserve a break."
"What Kai was trying to say, is that we have some experience getting into these kinda buildings." Lloyd sucked his teeth, rubbing the back of his neck. "Maybe it's some sort of pattern to unlock it.."
Stepping forward, Zane smiled, "I can process all possible combinations. This might take some time though.."
Pinching your nosebridge, you sighed. "There's 3 levers, so only 27 possible combinations. It'll take us no time. Orr.." You glanced over to Sora. "You had an idea, Lovelace?"
She grinned at the nickname, and you could only tell she was geeking out over the fact. "Yeah! Uhm- yeah, I was thinking. Three Cores. Three levers. So... Why not three people..? Like there's no combination, but all at the same time..? Does that make sense..?"
Lloyd nodded, his eyes slightly wider. "So no one person could go alone..! Smart thinking."
Beaming, Sora waved over Arin, and WyldFyre followed, claiming that she could do it better than anyone else. All three kids nodded to each other, pulling down the wooden levers all at the same time.
The doors lit up, swinging open into a dark room. You walked in, ruffling Sora's hair in the process. "Nice job, kid."
Inside the dimly lit temple, there was a stone statue of what you could only assume was the First Spinjitzu Master, bowing towards the center of the room.
Glancing from the statue to Lloyd, you scrunched your nose. You didn't really see any resemblance. Honestly, he looked so much like his mom... Hopefully Misako was okay.
"There's doors, but there's no handles or knobs to them.. is this another puzzle?" Arin asked, glancing around the room.
Like the kid had said, there was two wooden doors on each side of the room. Honestly, you probably could just break them down, but first you needed to analyze-
WyldFyre snickered under her breath, but based on who it was, you could only assume she was scheming something. Glancing back, her fist was aflame as she grinned at Kai.
Kai, being the oh so responsible adult and guardian in this situation, grinned back in response, lighting his hand up as well. "You and I don't agree on a lot, but we agree on this."
