This chapter has a lot of unreality, reverse character building, and my usual important chapter tags... Except blood, I don't actually think there's blood in this chapter... but You've still been warned

This chapter I'd suggest you watch/rewatch the final episode of Dragons Rising Season 1 before reading. It can be read without, but it doesn't follow the story.. kinda.

"We know how to stop this." Lloyd announced, sounding no better than he did a few minutes ago. His voice was gravely, and his energy was gone. "We have two Dragon Energy Cores with us. We just need- augh-!"

A flying object flew into the sails, causing them to break off from the boat.

Lloyd groaned in frustration, turning the wheel to try and keep the ship up, but the engines failed.

The ship began falling rapidly, the ground becoming ever closer.

"Where's Zanth?!" Sora shouted, snapping her head around. The dragon wasn't in the sky any longer.

the whistling of air filled your chest

The Plume lurched, but stopped falling. Beneath the ship, Zanth had grown at least triple her original size, and was gliding with the Plume on her back.... Holy shit when could this dragon grow?! And why didn't she do it when fighting Bitchatrix!?

You walked over to the starboard side, watching objects fly through the sky. It was like the Merge all over again. But this time you were gone for good.

Zanth landed just outside of the city, sliding the ship off of her back. The Plume fell with a large cracking noise, which hopefully didn't mean it was broken. Though the ship the Ninja used was most definitely broken.

Looking around the team, they all looked tired. And you had no reason to blame them. Too many people were gone. But they still had work to be done.

You felt as though you had to help. But why? You were just a spirit, nobody could see you, why did you even care about helping?

It felt like you were forgetting yourself. But what did that even mean?

Who were you? Why were you important? Why did you think you were so important?.. Were you important?

The dragon jumped off the ship, and Sora leapt after him.

The rest of the Ninja jumped off, spreading out between the city. What was this city called? You weren't sure if you knew.

Following the Arin, you stepped over piles of rubbish, walking up the steps on the outside of a building. He used some sort of hook to pull himself up, and grabbed a canine from being pulled into the storm. Where had this storm started? You had never seen one like it before. Looking down at the Ninja dressed in orange, you frowned.

The Orange Ninja laughed, the hound licking him on the face. Then he swung off, and you had to assume to help someone else. He seemed like a nice kid. Maybe you would get to meet him some day.

Where had the others gone? The other ones you were on a team with. They hadn't left you, right? not like the way you left them. They couldn't.

You still didn't know why you cared though.

Walking back down the steps, your feet pressed into the dry sand of a road. if you hadn't been looking for someone, you wouldn't have noticed the ninja made of silver running through you.

he was saying something. although, muted and distorted. You could only manage to make out a few words, but he sounded scared and conflicted.

Why was he so worried? everything was fine.
The white ninja was acting as if the world was ending.
