Adam x Lute XXIX

Emily - "About what you said to Adam."

Sera - "Okay....what about it?"

Emily - "What are the exterminations that you mentioned?"

Sera - "Emily, that has no concern over you."

Emily - "You don't have to keep things from me! Why won't you tell me you're being so secretive."

Sera - "You have no right to question my authority. This is the end of this conversation. Forget your tasks today. I'll take care of it, and you stay here."

Emily - "Sera!!"

Sera begins leaving the room and closing the door behind her. Sera began flying to Adam's house, and once she got there, she knocked on the door. Adam walked over and opened the door, thinking it was Lute and Julia.

Adam - "Lute! Oh."

Sera - "We need to talk."

Adam - "About?"

Sera - "Emily might have found out about the exterminations. You started this, you fix it, Adam, or else."

Adam - "The fuck do you want me to do? Just tell the girl the truth, just tell her not to tell everyone else."

Sera - "Fix it."

Adam - "Wait....wheres Lute and Julia?"

Sera - "I don't know, Adam."

Adam shoved Sera out of the way and flew out of the house looking for Lute and Julia. Sera rolled her eyes and sighed and left as well but didn't follow Adam.
While Adam was flying, he ran into Emily.

Adam - "Em??"

Emily - "Adam! Thank goodness you're here! I didn't think I'd have time to get to your place!"

Adam - "Wait, why what happened?"

Emily - "Nothing yet... Lute and Julia aren't at your house, right?"

Adam - "No..? Their who I was looking for."

Emily - "Come with me, I know where they are.. I think"

Adam followed Emily to the place Saint Peter had taken Lute and Julia too.

Adam - "Why the fuck is this place so far away?"

Emily - "For, reasons."

Adam - "Fuck. Okay"

He followed, and Emily landed, and Adam did as well. He saw Lute sitting with Julia in her arms and ran up to them, picking Lute up and spinning around for a second. He kissed Lute.

Adam - "There you two are!!"

Lute - "Yeah, saint Peter had us come here. What's going on??"

Adam - "I don't know."

Emily - "I..uhm..I found out."

Lute - "About what?"

Saint Peter - "Yeah, about what, sista spill the tea?"

Emily - "The exterminations..."

Lute's jaw dropped as she heard Emily say that.

Adam - "Oh fuck."

Emily - "I overheard when Adam was talking to Sera!"

Lute looked at Adam, neither of them knew what to say.

Emily - "I can't believe that we have a whole angelic army that kills human souls...demon or not, there is no reason for that!"

Lute - "Emily, I-"

Emily - "You and Adam were trying to get Sera to stop the exterminations, which I'm proud of but -"

Adam - "Wait, huh??"

Emily - "Yeah, you both were trying to..stop it... right?"

Adam - "Ah motherfucking shitballs."

Lute - "Um...."

Emily - "What were you there for talking about it then...? Unless"

Emily gasped and covered her mouth.

Emily - "Are you two...?"

Lute - "Yeah....."

Adam whistles while looking into the distance.

Saint Peter - "Uh, wait, what in the glitter bomb is going on?"

Emily - "Saint Peter...lets go, I have to go..Sera will be looking for me."

Lute - "Wait!"

Emily and Saint Peter flew off.

Lute - "Shit!"

Adam - "Ah fuck. Well, they would have found out eventually one way or another, Sera should have seen that coming."

Lute - "I'm fired anyway, so..it doesn't even matter.

Adam - "Em will get over it. I don't think Saint Peter even knew what was going on."

Julia giggled and reached out for Adam.

Adam - "Aw."

He picked Julia up from Lute's arms.

Adam - "Well, at least someone isn't mad at us."

Lute - "For sure."

Adam - "Well. There's only one thing we can do."

Lute - "What would that be?"

Adam - "1 get your job back, and two make sure Sera doesn't do jack shit to Julia."

Lute - "and how will we do this?"

Adam - "With something I like to call, Negotiating."

Lute - "Everyone calls Negotiating that."

Adam - "You never let me have any fun."

Lute - "Really? How do you think Julia's here."

Adam blushed.

Adam -"I- well. BE QUIET."

Lute giggled.

Adam - "Alright, babe. Let's go fix all this bullshit so everything can go back to normal."

Lute - "You're on."
