I stared at Aly. Her glowing white eyes were now filled with hatred.
"No! Aly, don't join him! He's evil!" I cried desperately.
"Too late, little Em, she has sealed her fate and you can never change it," Tommy replied with a sneer.
Tommy and Aly drew their swords and faced me. It was two against one. I was as good as dead.
I backed away slowly, until my back was pressed against the charred bark of the treehouse. They advanced quickly, moving like they had been fighting for years, although they had just become teammates.
Aly is gone. She's replaced by some monster that looks like her. She's not your friend.
I tell myself over and over that I should kill her, but I just could not do it. After all, she had risen from the body of Aly. What had Tommy done to her?
