Heavy footsteps could be heard throughout the entire Castle town, thundering along the thick stone walls and narrow streets that formed this dark labyrinth. Steps so heavy to make the ground tremble under your feet and a pit form in your stomach. Even if someone have never entered a dungeon they knew what those steps were. These steps are certainly not those of a benign and friendly being.

An enormous creature wandered these streets, its yellow eyes looking around, analyzing every single detail of the city. As if they were looking for something, perhaps even someone. Maybe its looking for its next prey. It's next meal. A creature of such proportions will surely require a substantial diet.

However it should be more cautious of its surroundings, because it's not the only hunter in this place.

It sniffed the air, sensing something out of the ordinary, when a sudden commotion caught its attention making its eyes snap towards one of the many houses in the distance. His bright yellow irises locked on a couple of tiny adventurers, busy creating as much noise as possible, smashing pots and metal.

"It spotted us!" shouted hastly Laios before breaking out in a sprint "Everybody run!" without making him repeat it twice your entire party followed the example of the blonde leader, your eyes never leaving the red beast who just observed you all with its unerving yellow eyes.

The dragon slowly turned around with its body, to match your direction, before suddenly sprinting dashing fast, destroying everything that stood in its way. You almost had to chocke back a gasp at the sight, you didn't think that creatures like that could even move so nimbly but above all with such speed. "Holy shit! That thing it's scarily fast!"

You guessed that your observation clicked something inside Laios brain because suddenly he seemed to remember a tiny insignificant detail "By the way, a red dragon's top speed is about 60 kilometers per hour!" at his statement Chilchuck shoot him an incredulous look, appearing undecided between curse the blonde boy to death or let the red dragon eat him.

"Tell us these things BEFORE we start!"

"Concentration guys! Turn right at the next corner!"

Doing exactly as you said, you four turned right entering a long and narrow street that extended for several kilometers, the red dragon hot on your tail. "We will use this straightaway to bait its fire breath!" Laios ordered and you all nodded, mentally preparing yourself for what was about to happen. With this warning lingering in your mind you couldn't help but be painfully aware of the Adamantine pot placed on your back.

Behind you the dragon roared before slowing its advance and in return began clicking its tongue, gathering all the necessary fuel "I hear the clicking! Its tonguing! Here's come the fire!" Shouted Laios, turning around to look at the beast. Quickly you lifted the pot from your back and place it down on the ground, like a shield, before crouching down behind it, Laios quick to join your side. "Get behind the pots!"

You two huddle close, trying to fit your bodies behind the only protection available. And to be honest you weren't even sure that is gonna work in the first place! This is a total gamble! And then it came. The red dragon spat its famous infernal flames, illuminating the entire Castle town as if it were daytime, freeing it for a few moments from its perpetual nocturnal cage.

You winced, feeling the power of the air pressure slamming against the pot and the heat of the flames passing by you, missing you by just a few centimeters. You have never felt such heat on your skin! It was fascinating and terrifying at the same time. Soon, however, the dragon ran out of fuel and you were all free to get back on your feet. You panted, feeling the adrenaline coursing through your veins, making you want to just shout and mock the dragon that its fire breath didn't kill you.
