Yawning you stretched your arm in the sky, small tears formed at the corner of your eyes. You quickly wiped them again before leaning your head against the trunk behind your back, letting out a content sigh. The sky was clear, with a few clouds passing here and there, while the sun mercilessly hit everything that was exposed, forcing the animals to seek refuge in the shade of some tree or house. You didn't have this problem though. The thick foliage of the tree behind you cast a huge shadow that wrapped your figure like a blanket, letting you relax without being cooked by the sun.
Today was such a nice day.
No work, no need to help your parents with the wheat fields, no need to train. Today was a day to be lazy. With a goofy smile you brought an hand behind your head, making yourself more comfortable, while the other one sneaked towards a bowl by your side. Taking a couple of berries you popped them in your mouth, enjoy the sweet flavor. If the cooks in the kitchens discovered that you snatched a bowl of fruit from under their nose they will probably chase you down the castle for the next five days.
Your ears perked at the sound of footsteps stomping on the grass below as they approached you. You lazily opened one eyes, smile widening at the sight of who had decided to come and keep you company. "Why hello there your royalty" you eagerly said, bowing as much as you could from your sitting position.
