"Alright you dumb door!" Backing away you took a big breath "You better take me to the surface-" You declared, pushing it open with both hands "Or im gonna pulverize you!" Before jumping inside the room hoping that this time it hadn't regurgitated y...
"Damn it! Damnit! Damnit!" Chilchuck slammed his head onto the wooden table, wrapping his arms around it and ruffling his brown hair. "We're out of one problem and into another right away!" Laios reached out to Marcille, who was still sitting on the ground, looking at the wooden floor with a disconsolate face. "Is everything okay Marcille?" he asked, helping her back to her feet. The elf let out a sigh, nodding her head and dusting down her clothes. "Yes. . .yes, I'm not hurt or anything."
"Hey! What's up with mx knight over there?" Izutsumi called out while crossing her arms, her tail wagging impatiently behind her "They were already missing a few screws but now they've lost them all. What the hell happened to make them like this. . ." She searched for a better term to describe you before uncrossing her arms and bringing them near her head. "Cuckoo?" She ended up choosing, opening her hands like she was making an explosion.
Marcille looked to the side, her green eyes trying hard not to meet the others. “I don't know… I thought they were acting this way because they were stressed after everything that had happened.” She ran a hand through her hair, clearly troubled by the situation. “Maybe… maybe it's the book? Too much mana all at once? Too much responsibility?”
Izutsumi tilted her head, raising an eyebrow unamused. “Well, the book definitely has something to do with it, but I doubt it’s because of too much mana or anything like that.” The blond elf snapped her head towards the cat-girl with a confused and mortified expression. “Huh? What do you mean?”
With a groan Chilchuck raised his head from the table, resting it on his hand. "The demon, or whatever they said . . .what they've been trying to warn us about all along. Apparently there was a demon with bad intentions inside the book." hearing those words Marcille straightened her back, her green eyes widening in shock "But Yaad and the others–the prophecy–wait a second. . .if that's the case that doesn't mean that . . ."
"We've been manipulated," Laios finished, his hands caressing the surface of the wooden door in search of a weak spot. Marcille took a harsh breath, fiddling with her hands. "What. . .it cant be true. . ." she whispered, shaking her head. At her side Senshi raised an eyebrow, curiosity swirling in his dwarf eyes "Marcille, why are ye so obsessed with the powers in this book? We know ye're interested in the dark arts, but is it really worth risking yer life for something like this?"
The young mage continued to fiddle with her hands, her head was lowered and her gaze covered by the blond locks of her hair "The reason I study ancient magic . . ." she began, her voice unsteady as she tried to find the right words to express her feelings and dreams “It's because I want to find a way to eliminate the disparities between the lifespans of the various races,” she finally managed to admit.
