Soon the rest of the adventurers, orcs and even the Canaries joined in to help Laios with all the cooking preparations and maybe pitch in a little bowl of dragon’s meat. You were so ecstatic with everyone’s willingness to help and you bet it must have been quite overwhelming for Laios to receive so much support. Even yourself were surprised about this turn of events, but who are you to complain? Now, though, the only problem remained on how to slice up Falin and separate her body from the dragon.

Laios suggested that Toshiro could cut up the meat with his sword, however his blade could sustain so much damage until a point, then it would just break down like a toothpick. And forging another katana like his would require too much time since it came directly from his homeland. . .also the samurai refused anything that had to do with harming Falin in any shape or form, his heart could not bear it.

Then Laios turned toward you, wondering if you could make use of Phlox, however the same issue with Toshiro also blocked any type of progress. If only there was someone who could teleport any type of material to use as a big slicer to separate Falin’s dragon body without any issue. Sigh. . .a magic elf with severed ears would be really useful at the moment. . .

. . .

HOLY SHIT! THERE IS AN ELF LIKE THAT!

You and Marcille witnessed the captain of the Canaries cutting the body of the demon in hundred pieces using his cape and teleportation magic! That was perfect for your case! Marcille grinned like crazy at the memory (completely ignoring how Mithrun was trying to kill her at the moment, in favor of exploiting his skills to your advantage) and immediately run toward Laios to deliver the news.

You however stayed behind, legs frozen solid on the ground, the wooden box of kitchen utensils held tightly in your hands as they shook slightly. You don’t like to hold things in suspense for too long, especially when you might have some problems with someone. You are pretty forward with almost everyone, asking what's wrong and apologizing if you have wronged them in some way, even if sometimes you do it reluctantly.

However you ended up avoiding Mithrun and the Canaries pretty much since you stopped being the Dungeon Lord and defeating the demon, bringing everything back to a somewhat normal state. You know you should just go and apologize for everything that you have done, to them, to the elves, to the world, and most likely you will end up in prison if you don’t turn to dust before.

But. . .how can you look Mithrun in the eye when you killed him? How can you look anyone in the eyes when you had been their grim reaper. The guilt would eat you whole like a fine five course meal before you could turn into the same dust under your boots. You simply can’t face this problem right now. . .you are not sure if you will ever be able to.

BUT YOU MEAN!

It’s impossible that Laios can convince the Canaries to use THEIR BELOVED captain as some sort of pizza cutter from this insane plaaaaaaand that’s you captain walking back toward you with a big excited smile and a Mithrun following closely behind while the rest of his emotional support cast was just by his side. “____! We convinced the Canaries to help us!”

Your strained smile slightly trembled and your left eye twitched “Great. . .”

Have you ever played the game where you had to keep eye contact with another person as long as you can and if you break it you lose? Yea? Well I present to you the ‘Oh-shit-it’s-the-guy-I-killed-don't-make-eye-contact-ASAP!’ game! Easy and funny for the whole family! All you need is a pretty elf that you killed while being a Dungeon Lord and a situation you can’t avoid! Bonus point if you want to include his lesbians + Lycion group, which you ALSO killed!
