Mr. Davenport, Leo and Harper collaborated to design the lab following the success of the jet-wing.
After many long days, they completed the lab.
The group entered through the dimly lit purple exit hall, and Harper was brimming with excitement.
"I got a new lab, I got a new lab. I got a new lab." Mr. Davenport sang, dancing around.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Bree interjected, stopping him. "I think you mean, we got a new lab."
"Excuse me. Did we pay to rebuild it?"
"Do you sleep in a glass box?"
Mr. Davenport paused for a moment before jumping again. "We got a new lab, we got a new lab." He sang as Chase, Leo and Harper joined his dance. "And, here it is."
He pressed the button on his tablet and the lab doors opened.
They stepped into the new lab awestruck by the hive-patterned columns on the walls that illuminated the space. Solid white square patterns filled the gaps between the columns. To their right, three monitors displayed information about Adam, Bree and Chase's bionic structure.
Their larger capsules, with the same hive-like pattern on the smooth glass, were positioned next to the monitors. Far in front of the capsules, two cyber desks with retractable monitors stood, with another cyber desk located near the main entrance.
"Guys, look at all these upgrades. Mr. Davenport, this place is amazing." Chase praised.
Mr. Davenport smirked, resting an elbow on Leo's shoulder. "Of course it is. I designed it."
Harper and Leo instantly whipped their heads to him with wide eyes.
"Ahem!" Leo cleared his throat.
"Fine! We designed it! We, we!" Mr. Davenport exclaimed, irritatingly gesturing around the new lab. "Upgraded capsules, bam! Quantum processing supercomputer, bam! Four-dimensional combat simulator, bam! This, my friends, is what a multi-million dollar makeover looks like."
"Is there a mini-fridge?" Adam inquired.
Mr. Davenport shook his head. "No."
Adam turned his head and mumbled to Chase. "I bet our real dad's lab has a mini-fridge."
"Hey, Leo, Harper, where are your workstations?" Bree asked.
Leo took the tablet from Mr. Davenport with a smirk. "This way, children." He led them to the retractable desks and pressed a button on the tablet, causing two desks to pop out of the ground. "The floor in the lab is compartmentalized."
"Which means we can store things and save space, and Leo and I have separate desks." Harper added with a smile.
Chase's eyes widened as he noticed a specific object across the room.
