I had seen the news, I had known what happened, hell my dad was Tony Stark, I always knew what was going on where the Avengers were involved.
I was arriving at the Avengers compound one morning as a surprise visit. I knew things had been tense so I thought I would stop by with my daughter, Tony's granddaughter and cheer him up.
We walked in the compound and I smiled down at 5 year old daughter.
"Let's be extra quiet and see if we can scare grandpa..." I whispered and she giggled. We started creeping around the compound and I saw my dad through a glass wall. He was in a room right off the kitchen but I saw all the other avengers there.
Before I could say anything my daughter was full blown running, "Ella, no!" I groaned.
"Grandpa!" She yelled as she ran to him. Everyone turned to see Ella as Tony turned in enough time to pick her up.
"Ellabear!" Tony said and kissed her cheek. "You come alone?" Tony asked.
"Oh yeah I just let her take the keys and go wherever she wants." I smiled walking out and Tony kissed my cheek and I looked at everyone. They all smiled but it looked to see a serious matter. "If you're busy..." I said as Tony put Ella down.
"Auntie Nat!" Ella interrupted me running and jumping in Nats lap.
"I think we can take a break from this. What brings you here?" Tony asked.
"I came to check on all of you. I have seen the news." I said.
"Collins, we are fine." Tony said and started to walk over to the kitchen. I looked at the group of people sitting around.
"What isn't he telling me?" I asked. Steve got up, walked over to me and handed me a packet of papers.
"This is what we were meeting about. You just missed Ross." Steve said.
"Oh my best friend." I said sarcastically. I started flipping through the papers. "You can't be serious?!" I snapped my head looking at Tony.
"It's what's needed." Tony said.
"Who said?!" I asked.
"Ross said! Countries have said...it needs to be done." James Rhodes or we all called him Rhodey said.
"Ross is a fucking arrogant prick! Why listen to him?" I asked.
"Mommy! Bad word!" Ella snapped throwing her hands over her ears. I sighed.
"Listen, this gives us one hand on the wheel. They tell us where to go and we go. Maybe after sometime they ease up." Nat said.
"And if they don't send you somewhere you really need to be? What happens then?" I asked.
"I don't see why this concerns you so much Collins, you're not an avenger, you're not on the team." Tony said and I just half nodded. I tossed the paperwork titled the Sokovia Accords on the coffee table.
