Every sob that fell from your lips broke Rosie's heart a little more.
She was curled up on your bed with you wrapped in her arms as you tried to process the heartache that your now ex-girlfriend brought you when she unexpectedly broke up with you today.
You dated for the last year and had plans to move in together soon.
But out of the blue, she ended things with you today.
You have no idea why but your heart hurts a lot and because of the intense pain and sadness, you're having trouble just getting out of bed.
Your best friend, Rosie, has been by your side since you called her a couple of hours ago and told her everything.
She had dropped everything to come and comfort you, which you're extremely grateful for because you need her here with you now more than ever.
"Is there anything I can get you?" She whispered as her fingertips danced comfortingly along your spine.
"No." You sniffled. "I just need you."
"Don't worry, I'm right here."
She left a soft kiss on your head and held you for another minute before an idea came to her mind.
As she unwrapped her arms from around you and sat up to grab her phone, you dried the tears falling from your eyes.
"What are you doing?"
"Just turning on some good breakup songs."
Her phone connected to the speakers in your room and just a second later, how you get the girl by Taylor Swift started to play and you cracked a smile at her before you curled back up to each other.
Things were quiet for a moment as she played with your hair and hummed along to the song.
"Stand there like a ghost, shaking from the rain, rain. She'll open up the door and say are you insane-ane? Say it's been a long six months and you were too afraid to tell her what you want, want." Rosie quietly sang along.
You lifted your head and looked into her soft brown eyes before she leaned in and gently brushed her thumbs beneath yours to wipe away your tears.
"I know it hurts right now but I promise you, you're going to find someone truly amazing someday. There is someone out there who loves you and is going to treat you like a princess. You're going to be their whole world."
"You think so?"
"I know so. She just wasn't the one for you, Y/N. It's okay that your heart hurts but it's going to heal someday, I promise. You'll find your true love one day. They're out there, don't give up."

Fate is a truly magical thing.
As you look around the room in your beautiful wedding gown and admire all of the decorations and everyone having fun, your gaze soon lands on your wife's.
She was across the room just chatting with a couple of longtime friends who are just two of the many, many people who came here tonight to celebrate your beautiful love story.
You can't help but think back to the time when your heart was completely shattered by that girl that you once thought you'd spend your entire life with, only to realize that the one that was meant for you had been right there telling you that someone truly amazing was still out there and one day, you'd find them.
All along, the one you were destined to be with, had been right there in front of you.
Rosie.
She looked like such an angel in her beautiful gown and even though you've told her several times already tonight that she's the most breathtaking woman in the room, she keeps insisting that you're even more breathtaking in your dream wedding dress.
