A/n: Hey readers, so I wanted to do something a little special for this Christmas chapter. So I took part of the epilogue of My Hero Academia and use it for this chapter. This takes place after the Final War and when the reader is around 14-16 years old.
Y/n's POV
I was walking around UA sorting some assignments for dad to sort through and grade while he was there at UA. As I made my way to the teacher's room, I heard my hero name being called from behind me. "Trix! Wait up a second!" Someone shouted. I turned to see Kota running up to catch up with me. "Oh, hey. What's up, Kota?" I asked, still sorting the assignments in my arms. I heard Kota chuckle before I looked at him. "What?" I asked.
"You and Deku are so similar, always working even when being talked to." Kota said. I smiled and laughed before nodding. "Sorry, but dad needs to get these graded and since he spaces out on a few things, it's left me working on sorting things out so he can find some time to spend being a hero and with mom." I explained. Kota nodded as he looked at the papers. I moved them closer to my chest, hiding any answers from the assignment. "No cheating." I said.
"Oh sorry. That wasn't what I meant to do. So what are you doing for Christmas this year?" Kota asked, looking at me. I smiled as my tails waved behind me. "I'm spending it with mom, dad and Eri. Mom and Dad, let me invite her over." I answered.
"Oh... I see. I was going to invite you over to my place with the Wild Wild Pussy Cats." Kota said.
"I see, I'm sorry. I wish I could make it." I said, smiling at him.
"That's alright. I understand spending the day with your family." Kota said, looking a little disappointed. I stood there and thought for a moment before snapping my fingers. "Why don't you come over Christmas Day? You, me and Eri can hang out for the day and show each other the things we've been working on." I said.
"Really? You sure that's okay?" Kota asked.
"Of course, I'll check with mom and dad before letting you know when to come over. I'm sure dad would be happy to see you just as much as me and Eri." I said. Kota nodded before heading off before I saw other boys from his class teasing about something as they walked off. I rolled my eyes at how they were acting before continuing my walk towards where the teacher's office was. "Mister Midoriya. I've got those assignments for you." I said, walking into the room. Dad looked up at me before sighing. "Sweetie, principal Nezu is perfectly okay with you calling me Deku." Dad said, turning to look at me. I giggled and nodded as I looked at him. "I know, but I think it's funny to call you mister Deku. I could be like Kota and call you Deku-senpai." I teased. Papa just shook his head before I held the stack of assignments out to him. "Here's the student's most recent assignment. I've sorted them by seat number for you." I said. Papa took the papers and looked through them before nodding and setting the stack on his desk. "Thanks for gathering that. So, is there anything you want for Christmas this year, sweetie?" Dad asked.
"Not really. At least nothing I can think of. That a problem for you?" I asked.
"Not at all. Uraraka might have a problem with it, but then again, she knows you more than I do some days." Dad said. I smiled and nodded before remembering I needed to ask if Kota could come over. "Hey, so Kota wanted me to go to the Wild Wild Pussy Cats place, but since we're doing Christmas with Eri and mom, I was wondering if it was okay for Kota to come over for a bit." I explained.
"Sure, I don't have an issue with it. Besides, I'm sure having some friends over would be great for you. Also, get work off from Uraraka's agency. Don't want you having to go to work just because you forgot." Dad said.
"I will, don't worry." I said, turning to leave as my phone rang. I answered the phone before mom started talking about a presentation she wanted me to join her with for some quirk counseling. After talking with her about it and finding out that it was in a few hours, I confirmed that I'd be there before hanging up with her. "Hey, I've got to go. Mom's got a presentation she wants me to join in on." I said, looking at dad.
"Go, I'll be fine with the students. Besides, I know how important this is for you and her." Dad said.
"Thanks." I said. Dad nodded before I headed out from UA to an elementary school that mom was doing the presentation at. We spent the day talking to the kids about how important it was for them to talk with quirk counselors. Most of the kids were shocked by the fact that I was a pro hero and was very close to catching up to mom in the rankings and possibly surpassing her. After that we headed back to her agency where I requested Christmas eve and day off before the two of us headed home. When we got home, dad was there preparing some food before the two of them headed out for some hero work while I finished up some of my own work from mom's agency. A week passed, and it was Christmas Eve. Mom and I were working on some dinner for the three of us before I heard the doorbell ring. "I'll get it." I said. Mom nodded as I headed to the door and opened it, seeing Eri standing outside. "Eri!" I cheered. She smiled before we hugged each other as I invited her in. The four of us spent the night enjoying and chatting about what was going on with our lives before Eri started playing her instrument for us. Once everything had settled down for the night before, Eri and I were sharing my room. "Hey, you awake, Y/n?" Eri asked.
"Yeah. What's up?" I asked.
"Is there something you'd want for Christmas? Mister Deku and Miss Uraraka didn't have an answer for me when I asked them." Eri said.
"Ah, so that's why dad was asking what I wanted for Christmas." I said, giggling about how bad dad was at hiding something.
"Yeah." Eri said.
"How about something I've been thinking about for a long time?" I asked.
"What's that?" Eri asked. I sat up and looked at her while I was nervously messing with my blanket. "Would you... maybe be willing to go on a date with me?" I asked. Eri just looked at me as I looked between her and my hands. As I sat there waiting for her answer, she started laughing before I looked at her. "A date? That's all you want?" Eri asked.
"What's wrong with that?" I asked.
"Nothing. It's just... so you. You and mister Deku both are horrible at trying to talk with someone you like." Eri said, as she laughed some more. I sighed before rolling over in bed to face away from her. "Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to laugh that much, but I'll give you my answer and you let me know if you'll accept it." Eri said.
"Okay." I said.
"I'd love to go on a date with you. How about at the end of the month or next month?" Eri suggested.
"Sound perfect." I said. Eri smiled before we ended up falling asleep talking about date ideas to go on. The next day, Kota came over early as we were preparing breakfast. Kota, Eri, and I were talking about everything going on in our lives before we started opening gifts. My gift to Eri was a newer instrument for her to learn and play with. Eri got me a few new notebooks since I still had a habit like dad to write down notes of quirks and how they could be used and a few things to help when I gave presentations on quirk counseling. Kota gave me a book that I had been looking for all month that I was excited to read before I gave him some money so he could get something he liked for himself. Once we had opened all of our gifts, mom and dad came over and sat down in front of us. Mom had her phone up and was clearly trying to contain her excitement about something. "Hey, so we're happy that all three of you are here. We've got a special gift for Y/n and I'm sure both of you will be excited to see it." Dad said, handing me a giant envelope. I looked between mom and dad before looking at the envelope as I opened it. There was a piece of paper inside which I slid out of the envelope before looking at what was written on it. "Y/n, you've been a huge part of Uraraka's and my life and while nothing was official when you were first in our lives, we wanted it to be that way once we could." Dad said. Tears began to form as I saw it was some adoption paperwork with mom and dad's names on it before seeing that it was for me. "Deku, this is amazing." Eri said.
"Yeah. I can't believe it finally happened." Kota commented. I got up and rushed over to dad before hugging him as tight as I could. "Thank you! This means so much to me. I'm really your kid now." I said, tears of joy running down my cheeks. Kota and Eri cheered while mom joined our little family hug before we spent the rest of the day talking about while nothing was going to change much. I'd officially be mom and dad's daughter from now on.
