After our argument, I acted like I forgot what I said, although it bugged me to do so. Sirius, James, Remus, and Peter were happy to act like our argument never happened. They snuck around the castle with me all day, pranking innocent people. But when it neared five o'clock, the boys seemed fidgety, and I knew they were going to ditch me again, so I headed for the library, hoping to find Marlene.

"Hey Marlene!" I called as soon as I opened the library doors and saw her sitting in a large armchair in the corner. Madam Pince glared at me as I walked in, probably remembering the ice from the day before.

"Hi Lexi," muttered Marlene, not even looking up from her book.

"Do you want to do something? My friends ditched me again," I explained and absentmindedly flipped through a book on the pile next to Marlene.

"Uh huh," Marlene murmured, still not looking up from her book. I had a feeling she wasn't even listening, just engrossed in her book.

"Marlene!" I whined. "Talk to me!"

"That's cool," Marlene whispered, making me roll my eyes.

"Fine, I'll just wait for you to be done then!" I sighed and leaned against the side of her chair, my back to Madam Pince so she couldn't see what I was doing. Madam Pince usually didn't allow us to do magic in the library. While I levitated and transfigured a book in secret, our strict librarian probably wouldn't appreciate it.

An hour ticked by, and I just sat there, levitating a book on transfiguration or something and listening as Marlene flipped page after page. As I sat there, I knew whatever James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter were doing was much better than this...

"Boys!" Madam Pince yelled sharply as the door of the library clamored open. "Tracking snow in my library again!"

"Sorry!" a familiar voice said quickly. Poking my head around the edge of the chair, I saw Remus, James, Sirius, and Peter step outside the library for a second to stomp off their feet before walking in again. All four of the boys in the library?! What was this world coming to?

"Just having guy time, yeah right..." I whispered to myself before hiding behind the chair again. What are they up to now?

The boys walked right past Marlene's chair without noticing me before walking to the shelf of books on Transfiguration... With a laugh, I joked to myself that they were simply studying- Which was something they never did.

From where I was sitting, I could make out a few words they were saying... 'No, I already looked in that one.' 'Maybe this one?'... I knew they were definitely up to something...

"We'll just have to look in the restricted section!" I heard James whisper excitedly. The rest of the boys went silent, as if pondering his suggestion.

"That's the best idea you've had all day, Prongs," agreed Sirius. Now James has a nickname of Prongs...?

"Okay, tonight, Padfoot and I will sneak into the library to search the restricted section," James explained. "Peter... You'll just have to keep working with Moony... You're a bit behind..."

"A bit behind?!" Sirius chuckled. "He's still just producing silver fog!"

With that, the boys started laughing and began to walk towards me. Quickly, I grabbed a book and acted like I was reading so they wouldn't think I was eavesdropping.

"Lexi?" Sirius asked in surprise when he saw me sitting against Marlene's chair. Those grey eyes watched me suspiciously, making my heart speed up.

"Oh! Hey guys! What are you doing in the library?" I simpered, trying to keep the fake smile on my face. Sirius and James exchanged a look and nodded at the book I was reading.
