The Truth

**** Sofie's P.O.V ****

We decided to drive to the closest bridal store since Ellie wasn't talking to any of us. I felt bad since she was in such a good mood and we ended up ruining it, but I figured she would feel better about the wedding since things were going good between her and Noah.

We had just pulled up to Alfred Angelos and mom and Lisa were walking ahead of us so I saw this as my chance to find out what was going on inside Ellie's head.

"Hey, wait can we talk before we go in?" I asked pulling her to the side

"What now?"

"I just wanted to see why you got so upset, it looked like things were great with Noah"

"Yeah, well I guess they are for now." She said looking way from me

"What does that mean?" I asked confused

"I just mean that things are good now that we are here where he doesn't know anyone, what's going to happen when we get back to New York and he has all these girls throwing themselves at him?" She asked as tears began to fill her eyes

I really wasn't expecting this, I though maybe she was just scared to give in to her feelings or she was just overwhelmed with everything going on with her dad.

"Ellie, you obviously don't see the way Noah looks at you or the fact that he's really trying to make this work. He's just as scared as you are, but you two need to sit down and talk, tell him how you feel and let him tell you how he feels. I'm sure once you talk everything will work out." I told her pulling her in for a hug

"Yeah, I guess you're right. I'm just afraid that he'll end up telling me I'm right."

"Ellie no one knows my brother like me, I wouldn't tell you to do this if I thought he wasn't ready. You're my best friend and I already love you like a sister, I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize our relationship or yours and Noah's." I told her pulling her back so she could see that I was sincere

"Okay, you know him better than I do so I'll trust you on this." She said wiping the few tears that escaped with the sleeve of her shirt and pulling herself together.

"Good, now let's get our butts in there and find you a killer dress." I said pushing her towards the door

**** Noah's P.O.V ****

I was sitting in the living in the living room thinking about what I was going to do for Ellie's birthday tomorrow when I felt someone hit me on the back of the head.

"What the hell" I said turning to Vince

"That was your fault, I called your name twice but you were too caught up in dream land to hear me" he said with a smirk

"Whatever, I have a lot on my mind right now" I said turning back to the TV

I wasn't really paying attention to what was on but it was a nice distraction

"Alright, what's going on? You and Ellie have a fight?"

"No, I was just trying to figure out what to do for her birthday tomorrow. I know she's going to want to spend the day with your dad but I was hoping to do something for her after."

"Well, what did you have on mind?"

"I don't know, I want it to be special but not over the top. I know she doesn't like a lot of attention so I was thinking it could just be the two of us." I said still trying to think of something that was low key but still unforgettable

"Do you have her gift yet?"

"No, and that is why I called you. What do you think I should get her?"
