It turns out not only was Melissa here but Ryan, Logan and Asher had decided to visit as well.

"Hey Ellie, sorry to just show up like this but we wanted to surprise Noah and Sofie." Ryan smiled

"What are you guys doing here?" Sofie asked as she went to hug the three guys

"We were running out of this to do so we decided to pay you guys a visit and see if there was anything fun to do to keep us out of trouble." Asher laughed

"Why are you here?" Sofie asked glaring at Melissa

"Noah and I didn't end things we'll and when I heard the guys were planning to visit I decided to tag along so we could fix things." She smiled as she scooted closer to Noah

As I looked at the two of them together I could help but admit that they looked like they were made for each other.

"Do you guys have a place to stay?" I asked tearing my eyes away from my boyfriend and his ex

"There going to stay at my parents, mom doesn't mind and they're leaving in a few days so it's not a problem." Noah answered

"Okay then, I'll leave y'all to catch up while I check if mom needs help in the kitchen." I sighed  

When I bit to the kitchen mom smile but I could see she was stressing out.

"What's wrong?" I asked going to stand beside her

"Nothing, I just didn't expect to have so many people over for dinner." She sighed

"Mom they don't have to stay, I'll go talk to Noah and we can work something out." I said kissing her cheek

"No, it's fine I don't want to seem rude."

"That's not being rude, they showed up unannounced. Look just make whatever you planned to make and I'll take care of everything." I smiled

"Noah can I talk to you for a minute." I asked from the entry of the living room

"Sure." He said standing up and smiling down at Melissa before making his way to me

I knew it shouldn't have bothered me since I knew the history they had and I should be prepared for him to realize he made a mistake leaving her for me, but it was hard to witness the chemistry they had.

"What's up?" He asked once we were in the hall

"Do you mind taking your friends out for dinner, mom didn't plan on having so many people over and is stressing out right now."

"That's fine, are you gonna come with us?"

I could tell my his eyes that he was hoping I would say no, and it made me wonder if he just wanted to spend time with his friends Jr if he was hoping to use this time to mend things with Mel.

"No, I should stay." I frowned

"Alright, well we should probably get going then." He said turning back to the living room

I heard him tell them their change in plans and a few minutes later they left.

"Noah and Sofie took them out to eat." I told mom

"I hope they weren't too upset." mom frowned

"They weren't, they understood completely." I smiled

Mom and I got to work on dinner and had almost everything ready by the time Lisa and Aaron rang the doorbell.

"You get it, I'll finish making dinner." I told mom

A few minutes later I heard dad join them downstairs and a smile instantiated it's way to my face. I had missed hearing dads laughed when he was in the hospital, it felt good to have him home.
