Road Trip

"Ellie!!!" Vince called as I heard him coming up the stairs

"Yes?" I asked stepping out into the hall

"Get packing, hurry up." He grinned as he walked past me and into my room

"Excuse me?" I turned to him confused

"My birthdays this weekend." He said like that explained everything

"I know that, but that doesn't explain why you want me to pack." I replied in a sarcastic tone

"We're going to our beach house for the weekend, when I told mom my plans she suggested taking you and Noah along since you guys have been stressing about getting everything ready for the wedding." He finished with a shrug

"Wait, so who's going?"

"Me, you and Noah, Chase of course and I think he's bringing Sofie with him."

"Can I invite Izzy, Luke and Zoe?" I asked giving him my best puppy dog eyes

The good thing about having a brother your close to in age is that you end up having a lot of the same friends, Izzy and Zoe got on his nerves a lot but he loved Luke and Chase so it all evened out.

"I can't really say no when I told Noah he can bring Ash and Ryan." He replied with a defeated sigh

"Yes!" I squealed as I reached for my phone

"They have to be ready and here in an hour though." He tact on as I dialed

"Why the rush?"

"I only got the weekend off, I have to be back at work Monday morning. I want to get there as soon as possible, Alex and Gabe are there for the week and their gonna come over when we get there." He explained

Alex and Gabe have been friends with Vince for years now, they met one summer when all our families were on vacation and have kept in touch ever since.

"Alight, I'll make sure they understand they need to be here within the hour." I nodded as I put the phone to my ear

"Hello" Izzy answered on the third ring sounding distracted

"Izzy bear what are you doing this weekend?" I asked using the nickname her mom used and she hated

"El, you know I hate when people call me that." She let out a frustrated sigh

"Okay, I'm sorry, now what are you doing this weekend?" I chuckled

"I don't have any plans, why what's up?"

"Vince wants to go to our beach house foe the weekend for his birthday, he said you, Luke and Zo can come with but you have to be packed and here in an hour."

"Sounds fun, I'll call Luke you call Zo and I'll see you in an hour." She said excitement in her voice

"Perfect, see you soon." I said before ending the call

Turns out neither Luke nor Zoe could make it today, Luke was working until midnight and Zoe was visiting her grandmother for the day, but they agreed to meet up tomorrow morning and meet us.

"You wasted half an hour already, you better hurry up and pack, Noah and the guys will be here in 15." Vince said and laid out on my bed

It didn't take long packing since we we're only going to be gone for the weekend, I grabbed a duffle bag and threw in some shorts and tanks along with matching flip flops and sandals, and of course bathing suites .

"You are the only girl I know who can pack in under 15 minutes." Vince commented as I walked out with my bag in hand

"Yeah, well that's one of my many talents." I smirked
