An hour and a half, that how long it’s been since I’ve seen Noah and as much as I hate to admit it something is obviously not right.

“Excuse me, do you mind if I steal Ellie for a minute.” Sofi asked

I was currently in the middle of listening some older couples talk business and could be more thankful for interruption at the moment.

“Of course.” Bill, one of the men smiled before going back to his conversation

“Thanks for that, have you seen Noah?” I ask scanning the crowd for what felt like the millionth time

“Yeah, that’s what I came over to tell you.” She replied catching my attention

“What’s wrong?” I asked on high alert

“Nothing, everything’s fine but he had to go take care of something and asked me to take you home and said he’ll see you when he gets there.”

“What was so important that he had to leave our engagement party?” I questioned suspiciously

“You have to ask him, I’m just the messenger.” she said putting her hands up in surrender

I would have believed anyone else who told me that but this was Sofi, she wouldn’t have let him leave if it wasn’t something extremely important.

“Whatever, can I leave yet or do I have to stay until everyone takes off?” I asked looking around at all the people who were still here

“Well it would be sort of rude if both you and Noah leave without thanking everyone for being here and staying for a little longer.”

“Seriously?!? I don’t even know who have of these people are!” I whisper yelled so only she could hear me

“I know but there are a lot of dad’s important clients here and you don’t want to make a bad impression on them, it will make both dad and Noah looks bad.” She frowned

“Fine.” I sighed not wanting to cause any problems for anyone

NOAH’S P.O.V.

El is going to be so pissed when she finds out I left the party early because of Mel.

“Stop worrying about you little fiancée, I’m sure she’ll be just fine without you, it‘s me you should be worried about.” Mel sneered

“Me being here doesn’t change anything Melissa, I still don’t want to be with you, I‘m just taking you to the hospital to make sure everything‘s okay.” I frowned keeping my eyes on the road

“Maybe that’s true for you, but how do you think she’s going to feel when she finds out you left the party to be with me and that we’re going to be having a kid together in about six months. Plus you wouldn‘t be here with me right now if you didn‘t still care about me” She smirked

“I never said I didn’t care about you, you’ll always mean something to me Mel but things have changed and I’m in love with Ellie now.” I explained hoping it would get through to her

“And what about our baby, are you just going to let it grow up without a father?”

“How do I know you’re even pregnant let alone with my kid.” I shrugged

“You know I never cheated on you.”

“Maybe not but we haven’t been together for a while now and who knows who you’ve been with since then.”

“I haven’t been with anyone since you.” She said hurt clear in her voice as tears gather in her eyes

“I didn’t mean to sound harsh I just want to be sure that what you’re saying is true before I tell Ellie what’s going on, I’ve put her through enough and I don’t know what she’ll do if she finds out about this.” I frowned hoping it wouldn’t have to come to that
