(Unedited)Luna's POV
I decided to actually not drink the second glass of champagne that I wanted to.
I had things to do tonight and being buzzed was the last thing I needed. The party was almost on full swing as the guests were filling up.
I made my way to the section where the rest of the house staff was. Everyone looked amazing. Say what you want but it was generous of the bosses to organise outfits for us. A type of generosity that you'd think they didn't have.
"My God Gail, you look stunning!" Dawn said almost catching me off guard.
I turned around to look at her and the genuinity in her eyes actually made me smile.
"Thank you." I said to her.
She wore her hair in a ponytail and she wore an above the knee silk nude dress, paired with strappy heels. She herself had cleaned up very nicely.
Truely, like I said, the whole staff looked amazing.
"It's crazy how you're the one to speak." I told her.
She chuckled.
"I know right." She said as she flicked her ponytail. I couldn't help but laugh.
"No but seriously you look unreal, for a moment I didn't believe it was you that I was seeing, I thought you were one of the guests. You went all out tonight and your dress, just wow!" Dawn said.
"Stop, you're making me blush." I playfully said.
"I'm just telling the truth. It's wild how everyone's outfits suited them so well." Dawn stated.
"I mean there were options." I told Dawn.
"Options? Like to choose from?" She asked in a slightly confused tone.
I nodded.
"Hell no. What? Were you given options?" Dawn asked.
Shit.
"Uhm, no. No, I just thought you all did because.."
"Because everyone's outfit looks personally fitted for them." Dawn said finishing my sentence.
"Yes, exactly." I told her hiding the confusion I was in.
What did she mean hell no? I'm positively sure that I had more than one dress to chose from. Why didn't they?
"I heard that Ms Kylie said it was either everyone wore what they were given or they don't attend the event." She said once more.
Typical Kylie.
"I'm not surprised. I'm sure if it all was her way, we wouldn't even be attending this party." I replied.
"The rest of the staff also thinks that us getting outfits has a lot to do with the future Mrs not wanting to be out dressed." Dawn said to me in almost a whisper as she leaned into my ear.
I actually laughed.
"Where do you get all this?" I asked her in disbelief.
"It's a penthouse filled with rich people and staff. The gossip never ends."
"I'm clearly just uninformed then." I said to her.
"Clearly." Dawn said, chuckling.
"If what they're saying is true though, you have definitely given her a run for her money." Dawn said and my eyes widened.
We both chuckled after that. I mean considering how salty she was about how I looked earlier, it would make sense.
Now though I was curious as to why I had the option of choosing which dress to wear whereas everybody else had to just go with what they were given.
