We begin the chapter at the Titan Skull where the platform suddenly start shaking, which alerts the group.
Yuuya: Nani?
Ghost hisses. The scene cuts to a view of the platform from further away and then fades to Gus, Willow, and Hunter. Pink strings drop down from above and wrap around their arms.
The trio gets pulled up by the strings. Willow and Gus gasp and scream as this is happening, with Willow briefly reaching upward to keep hold of Hunter's hand.
The scene cuts to Camila, Xenon, Vee, Ghost, Clover, and Emmiline getting pulled up by similar pink strings. Camila cries out as she hugs the palismen tight.
Xander: Vee! Xenon!
Yuuya: Guys!
Luz: Mamá!
Pink strips were about to wrapped around Amity, when Xander suddenly pushed her away as she, Luz and Yuuya caught his arms and tried to pull him back.
Amity: Xander!
Xander: [struggling] I can't hold on much longer...
Yuuya: Xander, Hang on!
Xander: [struggling] Take care of Amity for me!
Luz: No! Please!!
Xander smiles Weakly before he let go as he then got pulled away by the Pink strips.
Yuuya/Luz/Amity: Xander!!!!
A bright flash suddenly appears behind the trio. They both turned around to look at it, and they closes both their eyes as the flash is too bright. The screen turns white. When the flash fades, the entrance to the In Between Realm appears.
Luz: What happened?
Luz's right hand appears on screen as she tries to reach the portal.
???: [echoes] Hey
Luz: We were just about to enter the Archives...
???: [echoes] HEY!
Luz: We were just about to rescue Eda and King...
???: [echoes] Luz, Yuuya and Amity!
The scene cuts to a close-up view of the Titan's eyes and nose, with the Titan still alive. A creature resembling Hooty can be seen coming out of his right eye socket.
???: You both have to wake up. "The voice said as everything turned white."
Once the flash fades, Luz's face appears on screen, eyes shut. Her eyes then shot open. The sound of a heartbeat thumping can be heard in the background.
Luz was shown inside the throne room of the Emperor's Castle. She is sitting on Belos' throne and wearing his outfit. Above her, the heart can be seen beating.
Amity: [Groaning] Owie...
Luz: [gasp] Amity!
She then ran up to her as Amity slowly stood up, revealing that she is wearing the Golden Guard's Uniform.
Amity: Luz?! What's going on? And why are you wearing that?
Luz: I'm also asking you the same question with that.
Amity: What do you-
She then looked at herself as she realized that she wears the Golden Guard's Uniform.
Yuuya: [Off-screen] Girls?
They both look and saw Yuuya with both his hair and eyes turned black.
