Surprise!

KAT

Connor and I were lazing around on the sofa watching Netflix, though we were more focused on cuddling and kissing to notice the TV anymore. This was how I liked to spend my days with Connor when he wasn't busy recording or doing signings with the rest of the band. The Vamps had gone from strength to strength and Connor and I had stayed strong despite some hate from the fans, they eventually grew to like me.

"I love you, Kat."

A blush crept onto my cheeks, it happened every time he told me he loved me. I chewed my lip and looked up at him and smiled.

"And I love you to Connor."

Just before I could kiss him again Connor's front door burst open and a flustered out of breath Bradley nearly toppled into the living room making Connor and I jump apart. That boy was adorable but clumsy.

"Guys I need your help."

Bradley without thinking walked over to the sofa and slotted himself in the middle of Connor and me, he told us he did this so we couldn't be touchy-feely when guests were over. I glanced at Connor who shrugged his shoulders and rolled his eyes at his best friend and bandmate.

"What's wrong now Bradley? Have you done something?"

Bradley shook his head.

"Elise's birthday is coming up in two days and I completely forgot. Please don't kill me, Kat."

He looked like a deer in headlights, yes Elise was my best friend but I could never kill Bradley. I sighed and ran a hand through my curly hair which I really needed to tame at some point; I needed to ask Elise what products she used.

"I'm not going to kill you, Bradley. Yes, I'm a little shocked because you've been dating a year and she remembered your birthday. But there is still something you could do for her."

"What is it? Please tell me, Kat, I'll do anything."

I just hoped he didn't mess this up because Elise loved birthdays and she'd be gutted if something went wrong.

"Okay, Bradley this is what you need to do..."

*2 DAYS LATER*

ELISE

Today was my freaking birthday and I was jumping off the roof. It always shocked people how excited I could get, but this day was all about me and who didn't want that. I was normally quite shy and reserved but show me a birthday card or cake and you see a whole new side of me.

I'd been receiving birthday messages from all my friends and some from band members who knew Bradley and The Vamps. My little fangirl heart nearly gave out when the members of 5sos tweeted me along with Connor Maynard and Max Schneider. How did I get so lucky to be known by all these famous singers?

My best friend Kat never messaged me because instead she let herself into my house and ran and jumped on my bed like she'd done every year since I'd known her. I hit her with a pillow as I scrolled through my messages looking for my boyfriend Bradley to see if he'd wished me a happy birthday. When I didn't see a message my heart broke a little, had he forgotten my birthday.

"Kat he forgot my birthday."

Kat stopped jumping up and down and from the look on her face, she was confused.

"Who forgot what Elise?"

"Bradley, he hasn't wished me a happy birthday."

Kat pulled me into a hug and squeezed me tight.

"I'm sure he has his reasons, besides its still early morning and we know he sleeps in till the early afternoon. Stop moping and let's celebrate the fact that you're another year older and not getting any younger."

I gasped and hit my best friend with the pillow again.

"I look very young Kat thank you very much."

Kat grinned like a madman and lunged at me with another pillow. We had a pillow fight for the next ten minutes. I hoped Kat was right about Bradley because I loved him and thought he'd remember my special day.

BRADLEY

As per Kat's suggestion two days ago I'd been hard at work setting up the best surprise birthday Elise could ever want. It started with getting her favourite band members to tweet her happy birthday, I imagined her screaming and falling out of bed because she was like that. Connor was helping me while Kat was keeping Elise busy for the day until the party was set up.

The rest of the band was here along with the guys from 5sos, Connor Maynard, Max Schneider and Fifth Harmony who were over from America doing some promotion. Connor and Kat had talked me into not messaging Elise today despite how much I wanted to wish my girl a happy birthday. Apparently, it would make the surprise party that bit more special since Elise would see the effort I'd gone to.

"I just got a text off Kat; the two of them are on their way over here."

I nodded at Connor and everyone took it as the cue to hide as best as they could behind furniture. I had to laugh at Calum who was trying to disguise himself behind a potted plant but failed because he was taller than the plant.

I hid behind an armchair with Max just as the front door opened and Kat and Elise walked in.

ELISE

All day I'd checked my phone and Bradley hadn't texted me once. Kat could tell I was upset so took me out shopping and she even bought me ice cream to cheer me up, she really was the best friend anyone could ask for. It was a shame I didn't have the best boyfriend.

We pulled up to my house and Kat ushered me inside with a smile on her face, had she planned something? I was met with an empty living room until Kat turned on the lights and I jumped out of my skin.

"SURPRISE!"

People jumped out from all around the room and my mouth dropped open in shock and surprise while Kat laughed and poked me in the side. Everyone who had tweeted me was standing in my living room and the girls from Fifth Harmony were also here, they were like my idols.

"I told you he hadn't forgotten Elise."

Kat nudged me towards Bradley who made his way across the room, had he done this for me? I felt my eyes tear up slightly at how much effort he'd put into surprising me on my birthday.

"Happy birthday love, I hope you like it. Everyone is here to celebrate your day."

He pulled me into a hug and kissed me on top of the head which got us a chorus of awes from around the room.

"You did all this for me? You didn't forget my birthday after all."

He nodded and I felt like the luckiest girl in the whole world. I had the best friends anyone could ever ask for and an even better boyfriend. Though I had a sneaky feeling that Kat and Connor were involved in the planning, this was the best birthday ever.
