Lost In The Crowd

Y/N

You'd managed to drag your friends to a music festival which surprised them because you got nervous around big crowds. They left you so they could watch All Time Low on another stage while you gravitated to the stage where Fall Out Boy was finishing up their set. You made a couple of new friends called Amanda and Rosie, and the three of you danced and sang your little hearts out.

The crowd started to thin once Fall Out Boy left the stage and Rosie grabbed your hand and started pulling you towards the front. You didn't know which band was on next but Rosie and Amanda looked excited as you secured a good spot by the barrier.

"Are you a big fan of Motionless In White y/n."

You'd heard of the band and liked a few songs. Though for the life of you, you couldn't remember who was who.

"Only about a month ago Amanda, though I couldn't tell you who was who."

"Looks like we'll have to educate this little one, Rosie."

You rolled your eyes and jumped slightly as Rosie gripped your arm.

"Ryan plays lead guitar and will be stood in front of us, Vinny is on drums, Chris does vocals, Josh or Balz plays keyboard and Amanda wants to have his children, Devin or Ghost plays bass and my bae Ricky plays the guitar."

Until the band came on the three of you got to know each other better and exchanged numbers in case one of you got lost. The crowd starts to fill out and you find yourself getting crushed against the barrier, this is why you stayed at the back of crowds.

However you were distracted momentarily when a guy ran on stage and stood on the podium in front of you, he was gorgeous and had to be Ryan. His eyes scanned the crowd and he wore a big smile until his eyes landed on you and his smile faltered slightly before he smirked and winked at you. Rosie squeals in your ear and you push her playfully, trying at all costs to avoid Ryan seeing you blush.

You got lost in the music and noticed Ryan wasn't taking his eyes off of you. Behind you, a mosh pit started to form meaning you were crushed even more which started to hurt your rips. You could no longer see Rosie or Amanda and felt a panic attack coming on from being pushed and shoved. You needed to get out of here. You were able to use your small height to your advantage and somehow got out of the crowd with only a couple of elbows to the face.

You bought a bottle of water and your legs gave way, luckily no one was around as you sunk to the floor and felt your breathing start to hitch. Only after a couple of sips were your hands shaking to the point you dropped the bottle, this wasn't how you wanted to end your day. Dry sobs took over your body as you tried and failed to calm yourself down. You didn't even know how much time had passed until a shadow loomed over you and cleared their throat.

"Shit, are you okay? You're having a panic attack, take deep breathes and listen to my voice. We're going to count to ten together."

The man crouched down in front of you and took your shaking hands in his, the gesture was calming and he had a trustworthy voice. The two of you counted to ten together and by number nine you'd stopped shaking and your breathing was under control.

"Thank you for helping me, big crowds get to me sometimes and I was being pushed and lost my friends."

"I could see you getting distressed but couldn't stop playing."

What did he mean by playing? You brushed your fringe off of your face to get a better look at your saviour, only to feel your eyes widen and chest tighten.

"Ryan?"

He laughs and runs a hand through his short hair, he was still in his stage makeup and outfit.

"I needed to know if you were alright, so as soon as our set finished I ran off to find you. You probably think I'm a little creepy watching you and then following you."

You shake your head and take his hand in yours.

"Only a little but I'm more confused. Why pay attention to me? No one ever does because of my panic attacks."

"Now I've seen you close up you're beautiful. I couldn't keep my eyes off you as you sung and danced with your friends. Shit, I should probably ask your name."

You laugh, "It's y/n Ryan and you're not bad on the eyes either. Though I hate that I'm taking up your time, you probably have somewhere to be."

RYAN

y/n wasn't like most girls, she was humble and hated that she thought she was taking up my time. I wanted to spend all my time with her, though I probably should get backstage soon because I ran from the guys without an explanation. Then an idea crossed my mind which involved y/n and getting to know her better.

"I do and now so do you y/n."

She looked up at me confused as I helped her back to her feet.

"What do you mean Ryan?"

"If you want to listen to the bands without the crowd you're coming backstage with me. I mean only if you don't mind my company."

I wanted her to say yes badly. A few seconds passed as she thought my proposal over, before a smile spread across her face.

"I would love to spend time in your company Ryan."

Those were the words I wanted to hear leave her lips. At least now I'd bought myself a few more hours with her.
