TBOTE 35 ☠

"I shouldn't let his negativity get to me. We're already living in a world with so much death and danger, why add more?" Eren leaned into Armin a bit, feeling lucky to at least have his best friend to talk to.

Armin nodded. "Yeah, I honestly think all of this isn't good Eren. I can see you're not happy."

Eren sighed softly and looked at the blonde, their eyes meeting for a moment, causing them to both look away. "You're right. I'm not."

"And you know what that means right?" Armin rested his head against Eren's as he stared at the ground.

"I know..I should probably end things. Levi being so negative won't help, of course I'll still be having this baby or these babies, but just not with his support. He clearly doesn't care."

Armin stayed quiet as he listened to Eren.

Eren was already far gone with being upset. He was too used to the feeling of being hurt and broken.

"I feel like an idiot. I thought Levi and I could maybe bounce back to how we were before all of this, but I guess that's impossible. I feel as if I'm pretending to forgive him."

"When will you do it..break up with him?" Armin asked softly as he pulled the covers around them.

"Tonight maybe. I want to do it before Erwin shows up with the group, and that should be any day now." Eren mumbled, resting a hand on his stomach. "Looks like I'm back to being a single parent." Eren laughed lightly, trying to lift the mood a bit, but failed.

"Eren, you could easily find someone else that would love you even more and even love your kids more." Armin said before running a hand through his blonde hair.

"Like who? That sounds like something I would dream about." Eren smiled lightly. 

"I have a feeling you'll find them soon. Just trust me." Armin smiled lightly back. "You should take a nap, a lot has happened."

Eren nodded and lied back, burying himself in the covers. "Alright, wake me for dinner okay?"

Armin smiled and stood. "Okay. Now sleep." He leaned down and placed a kiss on Eren's head.

Eren smiled, thinking it was just a friendly kiss.

Armin turned and walked out of the room as Eren started to drift off to sleep.

The rest of the day consisted of Eren trying to avoid Levi, Hanji nagging Levi telling him to go find Eren and so much more.

Nightfall eventually came and everyone had finished up dinner.

Eren sat a few feet from Levi at the table and stretched slightly as he stood up. He pulled his shirt down a bit trying to hide his stomach, feeling slightly self conscious with the bump.

Levi could see right through Eren and watched him. He could tell something big was going to happen, it made the man a bit uneasy.

"Hey Levi?" Eren asked as he turned to look at Levi.

"Yes?" Levi stood up to put his plate away.

"Can we talk?" Eren headed towards the door and waited in the doorway for Levi to follow.

Levi followed and crossed his arms, leaning against the wall. "If this conversation is about twins you can count me out."

Eren frowned and looked away. "It's not."

Levi raised an eyebrow. "Well then what is it Eren?"

Eren looked down and held his hands together. He never thought he'd be doing what he was about to do.

"I don't think this is working out, Levi."

Levi raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"It means we're over." Eren held back any tears he had and sighed quietly. "I can tell you don't want this and you can't even pretend for me. I'm done with trying to look happy when I'm not."

Levi's eyes widened. "Whoa Eren. Hey don't make any big decisions. I'm sorry. Alright?"

Eren shook his head. "That's not how it works. Now you're going to say you'll change for me, but you shouldn't be changing for me when I threaten to break up with you."

"Eren I know you don't want to do this. Don't do it." Levi begged.

"I don't want to. It hurts me a lot to, but I know I have to do what's best. It feels like a one sided relationship so it's over." Eren said and turned around.

Levi put a hand to his head and groaned. "Eren really. Are you seriously breaking up with me? You'd never do that. That's like impossible."

Eren narrowed his eyes and rested a hand on his stomach. "Well I just did. I made the 'impossible' possible." (Kim possible XD )

Levi rolled his eyes and grabbed Eren's arm, squeezing it. "Don't do this."

Eren tried to push at Levi to get him away. "Ow stop! You're hurting me." He tried to pull it away, but it only made Levi's grip tighter.

"Eren you can't break up with me." Levi hissed and looked up at the boy. "I thought you loved me."

"I do." Eren whimpered.

"Then why are you breaking up with me?!" Levi yelled, annoyed by the whole situation. His hand tightened so hard on Eren's arm that a bruise was already forming.

Tears formed at the corners of Eren's eyes and he quickly looked down. "Let go of me."

"Not until you answer."

"Levi, you're hurting me."

Levi groaned and let go of Eren's arm. He looked at the boy's arm and at the mark he gave him. "Hey Eren..I didn't mean that."

"Sure you didn't." Eren said sarcastically as he wiped his eyes. He rubbed the spot where the bruise was forming on his arm and walked away.

Levi watched and lightly pulled on his hair. "Ugh I'm an idiot. Why did I do that?" He leaned against the wall.

Eren walked back into the room to see Armin sitting on his bed, reading a book.

Armin noticed Eren and put the book down. He saw his tears and stood up to hug him. "Aw Eren..did you do it?"

Eren hugged back and buried his face in Armin's shoulder. "Yes." He cried and held onto the blonde tightly.

Armin rubbed Eren's back lightly and sighed. "I know it hurts Eren but you did it for the best."

"I know.." Eren whimpered and nuzzled his face closer to Armin's neck, just wanting comfort at the moment, not caring who it's from.

"What happened to your arm?" Armin asked as he ran his fingers over the mark.

"Levi." Eren mumbled and pulled away from Armin, sitting on his bed.
