Months had gone by.
The hospital community was doing well again.

The only downside was that the infected were everywhere. They disappeared for a long time, but then suddenly reappeared.

The twins were crawling and looked to be almost one year old.

Eren had gotten over the miscarriage months ago and was prepared for the future. His and Jazlyn's blood had been sent out to a functioning government facility hours away.
(Remember that ^^^ it's gonna be important XD )

From there, they hoped to create a cure that they could give to all survivors.

Eren was on the hospital roof, practicing his aim on the infected that showed up to the large hospital gates. "Hey Levi." He chimed happily.

"Hey." Levi responded and stood next to Eren. "You've become a pretty good shot."

"Ya think?" Eren smiled and pecked Levi's cheek.

"I know so." Levi turned Eren's head and gave him a quick kiss.

"Hey Levi?"

"Yes?"

Eren set his gun down. "I was thinking, should we get a blood test on the twins? We could see if they're immune and ask my dad if he can figure out their age. They're almost walking, I'm sure they're one." He smiled.

"Sure. And uh, I wanted to talk to you about something." Levi's usual attitude faded as he bit his lip.

"Sure, what's up?" Eren picked his gun back up and looked towards the ground.

"Later." Levi backed up. "I'll tell you tonight." He then decided.

Eren watched Levi. "Alright, see you later." He went back to zoning out and focusing on the infected.

Levi walked inside and down to the twins. The two were crawling around constantly, always causing trouble. "Hey. Kari, be nice to your brother. Ryder, be nice to your sister." He mumbled as he walked in on them fighting over a rattle.

Levi sat down on the play mat they got for the twins and watched as Kari dropped the rattle and gave it to Ryder. She crawled over to Levi and onto his lap. "Dada. Bottle." Kari giggled and held her hands up.

"You just ate." Levi grumbled, causing Kari to pout. "Bottle." She whined and started getting fussy.

"Fine." Levi stood up and scooped Kari into his arms. "Ryder, bottle?"

Ryder looked up at Levi and nodded. "Bottle." He reached out for Levi to hold him as well.

Levi held both twins to his chest. It felt so weird. They were so big.
He walked into the cafeteria and then into the kitchen.

"Hmm. Look who it is." Erwin smirked as he leaned against the counter. "Father of the year."

Levi rolled his eyes. The twins both stared up at the large man. "Ewin." Kari said in her young voice, still learning names. Ryder giggled. "Ewin." He repeated.

"Actually, it's Erwin. Nice try though." Levi rolled his eyes and handed Erwin the twins. "Hold them while I make bottles."

"Bottle!" Kari squirmed excitedly, clinging to Ryder.

Levi made two bottles for the hyper twins.

"Can they walk yet?" Erwin asked, handing them back to Levi.

"Almost. I wish I knew their ages. They might be about one." Levi handed Ryder and Kari their bottles and watched the two hold onto their bottles tightly as they drank.
