Eren Jaeger was ten years old when the infected took over and destroyed his normal life. The boy had to deal with so much as the years went by, his mother dying, his father experimenting on him. Now he's fifteen years old and called 'Humanity's last...
"This is not good." Eren looked nervous as he bit his fingernails.
An loud echoing voice could be heard from outside. "Give us Jesse!" The voice was demanding. They weren't taking no for an answer. They were serious.
"Eren, calm down." Levi held his hands out and sighed.
"I can't calm down! Do you understand that we could all be dead right now? A military facility is going to break into the hospital. They have more weapons and know how to fight. Most of us are sick. Do you really think we'll have a chance? No." Eren yelled in a frustrated tone, coughing shortly after. He sat down and crossed his arms. "I need my kids. I don't care who is sick and who isn't anymore." The teen stood up and left to go get Kari and Ryder.
Eren opened the door to the room to get Kari.
"Dada!" Kari smiled excitedly and wobbled over to Eren.
Eren smiled and picked Kari up, kissing her forehead. "How's my little girl?"
"Goooood!" Kari giggled loudly.
Eren carried Kari and went to get Ryder.
The two were still separated and Eren hated it. He was going to end it.
Ryder's eyes lit up when he was Kari and Eren. He crawled over quickly and held his arms out impatiently. "Up!"
Eren leaned down and picked Ryder up.
Ryder instantly clung to Kari and smiled.
Eren was happy to see his twins together again. He slowly walked back to his room.
Levi's face softened slightly at the sight of the twins.
Ryder and Kari giggled, smiling widely at Levi. "Daaaaddyyyyy!" They both called out happily.
Mikasa walked in with Yukara close behind. "What's going on?"
"Um they're here to try and take Jesse." Eren mumbled.
Mikasa raised an eyebrow and sighed. "Let me guess, this is going to cause fighting and dying. We're going to have to flee the hospital again."
"No. We're going to try and fight." Levi interrupted.
"No we can't! They're a military facility! Levi how do you not get that?!" Eren looked frustrated.
Kari and Ryder whined loudly from Eren's tone.
"We can't run Eren." Levi narrowed his eyes.
"We might have to. Think about it." Eren frowned. "I can't fight. I'm sick and pregnant. I have to keep the twins safe and I'm one of the best shots in this hospital."
"I don't just run from a fight Eren. You know that." Levi crossed his arms. "I fight and if you think I'm just going to let these guys take over you're crazy."
Eren rolled his eyes and huffed quietly. "We're all going to die."
Armin nodded in agreement. "I think this is it for us."
Jesse looked at Armin and raised an eyebrow. He had been silent for minutes, thinking about what should be done. "Hand me over to them."
"What?" Eren and Armin both said as they looked at Jesse.
"I said hand me over to them. Nobody can fight here, we're basically all sick or getting sick. I think it's my time already. I was holed up in that military facility for more than five years and I got to experience what being outside felt like. I can die."
Levi shrugged, not seeming to have a problem with that.
Eren frowned and sighed.
Armin shook his head, although Jesse had been acting up lately, the blonde still liked him a lot. He didn't want Jesse to go. He finally thought he could have someone for himself and not have to worry about anyone else taking him.
"Armin, it's either I go and die or we all die fighting." Jesse walked closer to Armin and looked down at him. "I'm sorry. I've been an asshole lately. I hope you can forgive me alright?"
Armin frowned and bit his lip, looking away from Jesse. "You can't go."
"Armin." Jesse gripped Armin's shoulders and gave him a soft shake. "Let it happen."
Eren stayed quiet as he watched the two closely.
Kari and Ryder squirmed in Eren's arms and babbled. "Amin! Amin! Miki! Miki!"
Mikasa stood behind Eren and smiled lightly at the twins and put a finger to her lips, trying to get them quiet.
"They're not just going to kill you." Eren mumbled, breaking his silence.
Jesse turned and looked at Eren. "Hm?"
"They're going to make you suffer. They're going to use you for their antidote experiments. A day won't go by where you won't have a needle in your arm. You'll wish you were dead." Eren mumbled, handing the twins to Mikasa.
"This is serious." Eren added. "One decision is going to change everything. What if they still kill us all after they take you? Or make us go back to the facility with them?"
"I wouldn't allow that. Trade me over! Just say you'll give them me for peace between the hospital and facility." Jesse mumbled.
Eren looked at Levi, looking for help.
The voice outside echoed even more. "Hand over Jesse in the next five minutes, or we'll take it as war!"
