A few weeks had gone by and things were silent between Eren and Levi. The two were only getting close to each other when it had something to do with their children and when it was time to sleep.

Eren felt they had lost their connection. Their relationship wasn't exciting anymore.

Levi felt the opposite. He pretended he didn't care, but actually did. He hated the fake kisses from Eren and the acting in front of their kids and friends.

Levi chased Eren down and cornered him in the hall one morning. "What is wrong with you?"

"What? I'm fine." Eren sighed.

"No Eren. You're depressed. What the hell is going on?" Levi narrowed his eyes. "Our relationship is basically nonexistent. We don't talk alone, kiss or even get intimate anymore Eren. I need to know if you're done with me. I can't just sit around and watch you pretend there's nothing wrong."

"Okay, okay. I feel we don't commerce anymore. We have no excitement, all we do is have kids..and I just miss when it was us..in the tent. When we would sneak off together to fool around in the woods. That feels like it was so long ago..but it's only been a little over a year." Tears welled up in Eren's eyes. "There's so much pressure on me and the kids as well. We're the antidote. I've been harassed, locked up, starved, raped and you weren't there for any of it."

Levi shook his head. "You're not the only one with problems Eren. I get you have a lot on your shoulders but remember that everyone else has something they have to drag along as well. Before I met you I was basically a prostitute. Erwin would force me to hook up with anyone that was willing to give the camp things like guns, food, water, and medicine. I look at Erwin everyday and that's the first thing I think of, but you don't see me pushing my own fiancé away! Eren, you need help. We can go to Hanji and see if she can find you meds or something. She's the closest thing to a doctor."

Eren bit his lip, running his fingers through his hair. "I'm not happy. I don't need medication, I don't need help. What I do need and want is to be left alone." He shoved Levi slightly and left.

Levi watched Eren walking down the hall. "Alright, if that's how it's going to be then give me the ring."

Eren stopped and froze for a second. That was one thing he didn't want to give up. He didn't understand what he was doing, but his brain told him it was the right thing. Maybe he did need help? He shook the thought of getting help out of his head and slipped the engagement ring off of his finger. "Here." He whispered, unable to speak louder without feeling the need to cry.

Levi grabbed the ring from Eren's trembling fingers and clenched it tightly in his first. "I want you to wear this ring when you truly want to be with me. Our relationship is good boring. We're safe. We have kids to look over and raise. We can't do things like we used to." He could see Eren's shoulders tense and slouch. The man knew Eren was upset. He knew he loved him still. "Please get help. If you think about not getting help remember that you have three children and you fiancé waiting on you." He turned and walked the opposite direction to check on the children.

Eren fell to his knees. "Why do I do this? I-I need help..I need help." He whispered, trying to convince himself.

"I love Levi, Kari, Ryder and Jaxon. I need to figure myself out for them."
